Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a large cosmetic effect by massage even by a general person. Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a dermal preparation for external use containing hydroxycarboxylic acids, excellent in moisture retaining action, capable of giving moist to a skin, preventing the skin from becoming rough and improving transparent feeling and darkness of the skin. CONSTITUTION: This dermal preparation for external use contains compounds or their salts expressed by formula I, II and III [R to R are each OH, an amino or an alkoxy of which 1-3 OH may be substituted; (l) is 7-11; (m) is 6-10; (n) is 5-9] as active ingredients. Their total content is 0.001-50wt.% based on the total composition in the case of an emulsion type dermal preparation for external use, and 0.1-50wt.% in the case of oily dermal preparation for external use. The blending molar ratio of the compounds of the formulae I, II and III is (60-95):(4-35):(1-10). By blending 3 kinds of hydroxycarboxylic acids or their salts, a dermal preparation for external use excellent in moisture retaining power into the corneal layer of the skin, the properties of manifesting and sustaining its effectiveness, and safety to the skin, is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form latent images with a high sensitivity to visible light and to form the photoset images by full-surface irradiation with UV light in succession thereto by incorporating thioxantols, photosensitive resin and photoradical generator which are respectively specific. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. contains the thioxantols which are expressed by formula I, the photosensitive resin having a photodimerizable group and the photoradical generator having the sensitivity with the visible light region. In the formula I, Z1 and Z2 may be the same or different and denote a benzo ring or naphtho ring which may have a substituent. The thioxantols are the corresponding thioxantols oxidized by the effect of the photoradical generator component by irradiation with visible light and play the role of a polymn. initiator for a curing reaction or a sensitizer. The latent images are formed in this way with the high sensitivity to the visible light. The excellent photoset images are formed without curing the parts except the latent images at all even by the subsequent irradiation with UV rays.
