    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a yellow color which melts with resin or a solvent component satisfactorily, sublimates into an image receiving element and enables color-fast records to be obtained with adequate color density by using a specific color for sublimable thermal recording. CONSTITUTION:Pyridoneazo color expressed by formula (I) is used alone or with another yellow component if necessary, as a yellow component. In the formula, R1, R2 are a substituted or a non-substituted alkyl group, R2 is a hydro gen atom, a substituted or a non-substituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom. The color is mixed with any appropriate resin and solvent to manufacture an ink for thermal transfer recording. In this case, the color dosage in the ink is normally 2 to 5 weight%. The transfer sheet is manufac tured by applying a color ink containing this color to the surface of a transfer base. As the pyridoneazo color shown by the formula (I) is a sharp yellow, a full color can be obtained by combining the phyridoneazo color with clors magenta and cyan.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain color copies having satisfactory dyeing and coloring properties and also superb color fastness by adding specific vilydon blending colors. CONSTITUTION:A yellow thermally sublimable transfer sheet contains more than one type each of color expressed by formula (I) (in the formula, R1 is an alkyl group braching to alpha position, R2 is a lower alkylene group, R3 is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group and a substituted or a non-substituted aryl group) and a color expressed by formula (II) (in the formula, R4 is an alkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group and R5 is an alkyl group). The blending ratio of compounds expressed by the formulae (I)(II) depends on the assortment of colors with yellow. The transfer sheet is manufactured by applying ink for thermal transfer consisting of colors, binder resin and a solvent to a transfer sheet base. In this case, the amount of colors in the ink for thermal transfer recording is normally 2 to 5 weight%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure favorable dyeing properties and color forming properties and make it possible to obtain a color copy with excellent fastness, by incorporating two kinds of coloring matters having predetermined respective compositions. CONSTITUTION:At least one coloring matter of formula I and at least one coloring matter of formula II are blended. In formula I, R1 is an alkyl, alkoxyl or alkoxyalkyl group or a halogen. In formula II, R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl, alkoxyl or alkoxyalkyl group or a halogen. Examples of R1 and R2 in formulas I and II include such alkyl groups as methyl and ethyl, such alkoxyl groups as methoxyl and ethoxyl, and such alkoxyalkyl groups as methoxyethyl and ethoxyethyl. It is particularly preferable that R1 in formula I and R2 in formula II be at the m-position, from the viewpoint of solubility of the coloring matter. It is thereby possible to ensure favorable dyeing properties and color forming properties and to obtain a color copy with excellent fastness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the solubility, sublimating properties and affinity of dyestuffs by using a specific methine group dyestuff. CONSTITUTION:A sublimation type thermal recording dyestuff shown in formula I is employed. In formula I, R represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom and R a substitutes or unsubstituted alkyl group and R is represented by formula II, wherein Y represents a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, a halogenoalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkenyloxy group, a cycloalkyloxy group, and a halogenoalkyloxy group, Z is alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, aryl group, and halogenoalkyl group, and X is a C1-C5 alkylene group. Accordingly, the solubility of dyestuffs to a resin and a solvent, the sublimating properties of dyestuffs to an image-receiving body from a sheet and affinity to an image-receiving body resin are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title dispersion excellent in water suspensibility, rich in fluidity, high in dispersibility with stability to change with time by heating treatment of a specific vat dye in a water-insoluble organic solvent followed by removing the organic solvent and by making the dye into fine particles in the presence of a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A vat dye of the formula is treated by heating pref. at 150 -200 deg.C for 1-5hr in a water-insoluble organic solvent (e.g. aromatic hydrocarbon such as benzene, halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon such as dichloromethane). Thence, the organic solvent is removed and the dye is made into fine particles in the presence of a surfactant (pref. 3-15wt.% of an anionic surfactant), thus obtaining the objective aqueous dispersion.

Par of the dye is then reduced with sodium sulfide to obtain the desired compd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a disperse dye compsn. for polyester fibers, which is navy blue or black, hardly causes staining during dyeing or processing after dyeing and has improved dyeability, by blending conventional azo dyes or similar dyes in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:10-30wt% dye of formula I (wherein X is chlorine or bromine) is blended with 40-60wt% dye of formula II, 10-30wt% dye of formula III (wherein X is chlorine or bromine; and R is a 1-5C alkyl group) or formula IV (wherein X is chlorine or bromine; and R is a methyl or ethyl group) and optionally, 0-10wt% dye of formula V (wherein X is chlorine or bromine) or formula VI (wherein R is a methyl or ethyl group) to form a black disperse dye compsn. for polyester fibers. The dye of formula V or VI is used for the purpose of matching color tone. 20-50wt% dye of formula I is blended with 5-15wt% dye of formula II, 20-50wt% dye of formula III or IV and optionally, 0-10wt% dye of formula V or VI to form a navy blue disperse dye compsn.
