Abstract:
A process for producing isoprene is provided, which includes continuously or intermittently supplying isobutylene and/or t-butanol, formaldehyde and water into an acidic aqueous solution, and reacting the reaction mixture while distilling away a mixture containing produced isoprene, water, unreacted starting materials and other low boiling point components from this reaction mixture to the outside of the reaction system, wherein the reaction is carried out while controlling the concentration of high boiling point byproducts, which is produced and accumulated in the reaction mixture, to fall within the range of 0.5-40 mass %.
Abstract:
A camera or other sensing unit senses the conditions of articles and mobile entities, including humans within a living space. An article management/operation server manages, within an article database, attribute information about the articles, including operators, according to the information from the sensing unit. The server receives a user's instruction, input through a console unit, and refers to the article database to convert this instruction into a control command, which is then transmitted to a life-support robot.

Abstract:
A state recognition tag is configured to include a tag main body, and a tag fragment separable from the tag main body, and each of the tag main body and the tag fragment is provided with an information holding unit storing therein information to be transmitted, a separation-state recognizing unit which recognizes a separation state between the tag main body and the tag fragment, a control unit which exercises transmission control for transmitting the information from the information holding unit based on the separation state, and an electric power supplying unit which supplies electric power to the information holding unit, the separation-state recognizing unit, and the control unit. Regardless of whether the tag main body and the tag fragment are connected to each other or separated from each other, both the tag main body and the tag fragment can function as tags as needed. Furthermore, different information can be provided to a user according to the separation state between the tag main body and the tag fragment.
Abstract:
An image formation apparatus includes a scanner unit entering image data, a printer unit printing out input image data, a signature information detection unit detecting additional information including destination information from the image data, and a communication processing unit transmitting information related to printing of image data to the detected destination. Additional information including destination information is detected from the image data. Information related to printing of image data is transmitted to the destination detected from the image data. Accordingly, information related to printing when image data is printed is audited at the destination side.
Abstract:
In a robot operation terminal, a storage unit has a group-belonging article table that indicates articles belonging to each of groups. Upon receipt of operation information indicating an operation to be instructed to the robot through an input unit, when this operation information specifies a group as its operation subject, a conversion unit converts this group to articles belonging to the group in the operation information by reference to the group-belonging article table. Thus, the instruction of an operation is made simpler, thereby reducing the occurrence of a human error.
Abstract:
When a home electric appliance detects and identifies an article to be handled by the home electric appliance, the home electric appliance executes handling of the article in conformity with a control program corresponding to the specified article. When the control program corresponding to the specified article is not present, the home electric appliance downloads the corresponding control program from a program distribution means through a network, and further sends information on the article to home electric appliances having possibility to operate the article. Upon reception of information from the home electric appliance, the home electric appliances download a control program corresponding to the article from the program distribution means through the network if the control program corresponding to the article is not present.
Abstract:
The system includes sensing means 120 for detecting a state of a space; a robot 102 for executing a handling job for an article; an article identifying part 32 for identifying, when an article is handled by a movable body, the article in response to a detection result obtained by the sensing means 120; and an article handling subject identifying part 33 for identifying an article handling subject that handles the article. When the movable body that handles the article is the robot 102, the article handling subject identifying part 33 identifies a subject having issued a job instruction to the robot 102 as the article handling subject.
Abstract:
There is provided a process for producing an acetylene compound useful as an intermediate of pharmaceuticals, from 4-nitrofluorobenzene, in industrially and economically advantageous manner. Concretely, it is a method for producing an acetylene compound of formula (3) characterized by reacting 4-nitrofluorobenzene of formula (1) with an alkoxide of 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol of formula (2) at −20 to 10° C.
Abstract:
For adjusting a positional relationship between a specimen and a probe to measure an electric characteristic of the specimen through a contact therebetween, a base table holding a specimen table holding the specimen and a probe holder holding the probe is positioned at a first position to measure the positional relationship between the probe and the specimen at the first position, and subsequently positioned at a second position to measure the positional relationship therebetween at the second position so that the probe and the specimen are contact each other at the second position, the specimen table and the probe holder are movable with respect to each other on the base table at each of the first and second positions to adjust the positional relationship between the probe and the specimen, and a measuring accuracy at the second position is superior to a measuring accuracy at the first position.
