Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving, from a base station (BS), first downlink control information (DCI) scheduling an uplink (UL) communication; receiving, from the BS, a request to perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) associated with a first CCA timing configuration; performing, based on an indication to change to a second CCA timing configuration different from the first CCA timing configuration, the CCA based on the second CCA timing configuration; and transmitting, to the BS based on the CCA, the UL communication.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to narrow beam-based channel access for communications in a wireless communication network operating over an unlicensed spectrum are provided. A first wireless communication device receives, from a second wireless communication device, one or more signals associated with a beam parameter. The first wireless communication device determines, at each of a plurality of locations, a signal measurement for at least one received signal of the one or more received signals. The first wireless communication device determines, based at least in part on an p-th percentile signal measurement and a q-th percentile signal measurement of the signal measurements at the plurality of locations, whether the second wireless communication device satisfies an interference condition.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may start, in a no-listen-before-talk (no-LBT) mode and after a first channel occupancy time (COT), an away period during which no transmissions are to occur in a beam direction used in the first COT. The wireless communication device may perform, during the away period, channel sensing. The wireless communication device may transmit a communication in a second COT after the away period, based at least in part on a result of the channel sensing. Numerous other aspects are described.

The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device in the unlicensed band based on the first channel access configuration, the communication signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support communications across a wideband, a base station and user equipment (UE) may communicate across the wideband using a set of sub-bands that span the carrier bandwidth (e.g., the wideband). In some cases, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate a wideband communication with the base station via the set of sub-band based communications with the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station (and, in some cases based on the capability of the UE), a configuration for communicating with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using the set of sub-bands. Then, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using one or more of the set of sub-bands in accordance with the configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a transmitting device using shared radio frequency spectrum may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure for at least a minimum dwell time and, upon successful completion of the LBT procedure, may occupy the spectrum for up to a duration of a channel occupancy time (COT). The transmitting device may discontinue transmitting during the COT for a gap period, and resume transmitting subsequent to the gap period without performing another LBT procedure. The minimum dwell time may be based on a periodicity of a channel reservation signal transmitted by one or more other devices using the shared radio frequency spectrum. In some cases, the transmitting device may schedule one or more receiving devices with resources for transmissions during the COT, and the receiving devices may perform a LBT that is non-adjacent with an associated transmission.

Abstract: Enhanced measurements for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) operations are disclosed. Compatible user equipments (UEs) may be configured to perform virtual full listen before talk (LBT) procedures for measurement purposes. The UEs may then compile LBT statistics derived from the virtual LBT procedures and include such statistics in an enhanced measurement report the their serving base stations. The LBT statistics provide a more direct and detailed reflection of the usage of a shared communication channel. Such UEs may further be configured to gather additional LBT statistics from transmission-based LBT procedures in addition to the virtual LBT procedures. The additional direct and detailed usage of a shared channel may then be provided in the enhanced measurement reports in accordance with described aspects.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses apparatuses, systems, and methods of wireless communication that use an adaptive hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) procedure and a multi-threaded HARQ procedure for improving HARQ buffer utilization and management. A user equipment (UE) can transmit a reset NACK to reduce the amount of HARQ buffers needed for concurrent HARQ processes. A base station can transmit different redundancy data in a HARQ retransmission depending on the types of NACK the UE transmitted. The base station can communicate with the UE using multiple light HARQ processes or threads that use less HARQ buffers than a typical HARQ procedure. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.
