Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to techniques that may help optimize scheduling target wake-up times (TWTs) of wireless nodes.
Abstract:
A station configured to operate in a wireless network includes low-power protocol circuitry configured to operate according to a low-power protocol coupled to primary protocol circuitry configured to operate according to a first protocol. The low-power protocol circuitry includes a wake-up receiver configured to transition into a receive mode according to a medium access schedule. The wake-up receiver is also configured to receive synchronization signals from a wake-up transmitter of an access point in the wireless network. Each synchronization signal is received according to a slot-skipping transmit schedule of the wake-up transmitter. The low-power protocol circuitry also includes a low-power processor configured to synchronize a clock of the wake-up receiver to a clock of the wake-up transmitter based on at least one of the synchronization signals.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for enabling Multiple BSSID functionality. In some implementations, each BSS of the multi-BSS AP may transmit management frames with a Multiple BSSID element (MBE). Multiple BSSID-capable STAs may interpret the MBE information and implement corresponding Multiple BSSID functionality, whereas legacy STAs may ignore the MBE and interpret such frames as legacy management frames. In some other implementations, a multi-BSS AP may configure one or more of its BSSs to transmit management frames without the MBE. These legacy management frames may include a multi-BSS indicator (MBID) to advertise that the corresponding AP is a multi-BSS AP. The MBID also may provide information regarding a transmitted BSS of the multi-BSS AP. Multiple BSSID-capable STAs may search for a transmitted BSS based on the presence of the MBID, whereas legacy STAs may ignore the MBID and interpret such frames as legacy management frames.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communicating acknowledgements to multiple un-associated stations simultaneously. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by an access point (AP). The method includes receiving a first message from a first station (STA) that is not associated with the AP. The method further includes receiving a second message from a second STA that is not associated with the AP. The method further includes generating an aggregated acknowledgement message. The aggregated acknowledgement message includes a first acknowledgement (ACK) for the first message and a second ACK for the second message. The method further includes broadcasting the aggregated acknowledgement message for reception by the first STA and the second STA.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine that a multi-hop feature is enabled for a service and to transmit, based on the determination, a multi-hop attribute that may include at least one of an identifier provided by a publisher device or a hop count associated with the service. In another aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine a data scheduling protocol for a multi-hop service and to communicate with one or more wireless devices based on the determined data scheduling protocol.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine to initiate a security negotiation with a publishing device to establish a secure NDP in which the publishing device is an authenticator in the security negotiation and the subscribing device is a supplicant. The apparatus is configured to transmit an initiation message to the publishing device, which is providing a NAN service, to initiate the security negotiation for establishing the secure NDP. The initiation message may indicate that the publishing device will be the authenticator in the security negotiation.
Abstract:
A method of communication includes generating a traffic advertisement at a particular device. The traffic advertisement indicates availability of data to be sent by the particular device to multiple devices. The method also includes sending, from the particular device, the traffic advertisement during a paging window. The method further includes receiving an unavailable message from a first device of the multiple devices during a data transmission window that is subsequent to the paging window. The method also includes, in response to receiving the unavailable message from the first device, refraining from sending first data from the particular device to the first device during the data transmission window.
Abstract:
A method includes generating, at a first device, a paging message. The method includes, during a first transmission window of a data link group of a neighbor aware network (NAN), sending the paging message from the first device to one or more devices of the data link group. The method further includes, during a second transmission window of the data link group and prior to a data window of the second transmission window, sending data traffic to a particular device of the one or more devices without sending a traffic announcement to the particular device during a second paging window of the second transmission window.
Abstract:
A method includes generating a service discovery frame at a first electronic device of a data link of a neighbor aware network (NAN). The service discovery frame may include an attribute identifying a subset of electronic devices of the data link as recipients of data from the first electronic device during a transmission window or identifying a time period corresponding to data announcements and timing information of data transmissions corresponding to the data link. The method further includes transmitting the service discovery frame to electronic devices other than the first electronic device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for independent basic service set based data paths for neighbor aware networks are described herein. In some aspects, an apparatus for wireless communication in an independent basic service set is provide. The apparatus comprises a receiver configured to receive a service discovery frame from a device in a neighbor aware network. The apparatus comprises a processor configured to determine a timing for an announcement traffic indication message window, wherein the timing is defined as an offset from a beginning of a discovery window for the neighbor aware network. The apparatus comprises a transmitter configured to transmit an announcement traffic indication message during the announcement traffic indication message window. The service discovery frame comprises an independent basic service set availability attribute defining a duration of the announcement traffic indication message window.
