    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain good moldability and developability by specifying the components of a photosensitive resin compsn. CONSTITUTION:This printing plate material consists of the photosensitive resin compsn. contg. 30-90wt.% polyolefin having 200-30,000 number average mol.wt., 2-30wt.% ethylenic unsatd. compd., 5-50wt.% solid polyolefin which has solubility in a mixture composed of said polyolefin and ethylenic unsatd. compd. and has >=50,000 viscosity average mol.wt. by a Flory method, 0.01-10wt.% photopolymn. initiator, and 0.1-10wt.% at least one kind of compd. selected from the group of N-acylaminoacid amine salt, N-acylaminoacid amide, etc., and condensation product of polyhydric alcohol and polysaccharide acylated compd., etc. The flexographic printing plate which has the excellent moldability and the good developability, dryability, etc., and is suitable for flexography using water-base ink such as corrugated board and paper container printing is thereby obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color film for a lithographic printing plate having good adhesiveness and surface slipperiness by forming a cured film of a coating liquid having specific characteristics on a light transmissive film by a gravure roll having a specific area ratio in the cell part. CONSTITUTION:The coating liquid is coated on the light transmissive film by using the gravure roll, of which the area of the cell parts is 10-60% of the roll surface area. A PP, polyvinylidene chloride, etc., 1 having >=50% light transmittivity to active rays is used as the substrate film in this stage. A chlorinated PP soln. or the like which has 0.5-30poise viscosity, has form retentivity when dried or cured after coating and has >=50% transmittivity to the active lays is used as the coating liquid. The rugged film which permits the easy change of the surface shape and has high transparency and is adequate as the waterless lithographic printing plate is thus obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive resin printing plate material superior adhesion and resistance to an ink solvent by forming an interlayer between a base and the photosensitive resin layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin layer contg. a photopolymerizable component having ethylenically unsatd. bonds is formed on the base to form the photosensitive resin printing plate material, and the 0.5-100mum thick interlayer made of a compsn. contgl the following components A, B, and C between the base and the resin layer: A 100pts.wt. of a satd. polyester soluble in org. solvents and having a mol.wt. of 5,000-50,000; B 5-200pts.wt. of polyvalent isocyanate having >=2 isocyanate groups in one molecule; and C 0.1-150pts. wt. of a compd. having >=2 epoxy groups. The component A is synthesized from a satd. pcarboxylic acids or their derivs. and polyols and this polyester is soluble in ordinary org. solvents along or a mixture of 2 kinds or more of solvents, e.g., hydrocarbons, such as benzene, halogenated hydrocarbons, such as carbon tetrachloride.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a curved surface having an entirely identical curvature with those of both sides surfaces of printing blocks on a seam, by a method wherein a jig having an inner curved surface whose curvature is identical with that of the outer surface of a printing block material is bonded on the seam with pressure, thermoplastic or thermosettig material is filled out into a space to be formed by a cylinder, both end surfaces of the printing block and the inner curved surface of the jig for curing. CONSTITUTION:When a plate-like photosensitive resin printing block material 2 is wound round a cylinder 1, a gap is generated between end parts of the printing block material. A curvature of an inner curved surface of a jig 3 is kept extremely close to that of a curved surface to be formed by the surface of the printing block, the jig 3 is mounted on the printing block so as to stride over the gap, and a space to be formed by a cylinder, both the end parts of the printing block and the curved surface of the jig is generated by pressing against the jig by applying force to the jig. When the space is filled with thermoplastic or thermosettring material 4 and the jig is removed after solidification or curing of the material 4, the curved surface whose curvature is either identical with that of the surface of the printing block or close extremely to that of the surface of the printing block is formed uniformly. In consequence of the above, generation of shades of color of ink of a printed matter and contamination resulting from a vibration of a doctor blade in gravure printing.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the reproducibility of an image, printing resistance and water developing property by forming a base resin which is made by adding an unsaturated epoxy resin to an anion modified polyvinyl alcohol with the specified saponification value obtained by the saponification of vinyl acetate and unsaturated carboxylic acid, etc. CONSTITUTION:The composition consists of 100 wt. pts. base polymer adding an unsaturated epoxy compound to the anion modified polyvinyl alcohol of a saponification value of 60-90 mol % obtained by the saponification of the copolymer composed of vinyl acetate and unsaturated carboxylic acid or its salt or unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, 20-200wt. pts. photopolymeric unsaturated compound including an ethylenically double bond in a molecule and 0.1-10 pts. photoinitiator. The content of the unsaturated carboxylic acid or unsaturated carboxylic acid salt or unsaturated carboxylic acid ester is preferably used in a range of 0.1-15 mol %. The average polymerization degree of the obtained copolymer is preferably used in a range of 200-20000. Thus the improvement in water development property, image reproducibility and printing resistance is contrived.
