SOLUTION: The electrode comprises, at least, an electrode substrate and an electrode catalyst layer, the electrode substrate having the porous conductive sheet having the non-woven cloth structure, wherein a conductive intermediate layer containing, at least, an inorganic conductive material and a hydrophobic polymer is provided between the electrode catalyst layer and the electrode substrate.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To restrain any drop of electric discharge capacity in the case of charging/discharging a lapse of one day thereafter for an electrode made of carbonic material by selecting such carbonic material on the surface of which transient metallic element stays, as the active material of the electrode. CONSTITUTION: Fibers made of a copolymer consisting of 99.2wt.% of acrylonitrile, 0.8wt.% of itaconic acid are subjected to flame resisting process at 250 to 280 deg.C and thereafter they are baked at 1200 deg.C in nitrogen environment. The obtained carbonic fibers are dipped in and applied with solution in which 5wt.% of tetrabutoxy titanium is solved in 95wt part of butanol and dried at 200 deg.C. This carbonic fibers are dipped in hot water at 90 deg.C for 10 seconds and dried. It has been confirmed through ESCA that Ti element exists on this carbon surface. 10mg of carbonic fibers on the surface of which Ti element exists is pinched by stainless steel net, paired poles and reference pole are rendered ethylene carbonate/dimethyl carbonate for including Li, electrolyte for including 1M of LiBF4 and are electrically charged at constant voltage for 8 hours by 1mA up to 0V, thereafter electrically discharged at constant current by O.4mA down to 1.5V. Discharge capacity holding rate one day after the end of electric discharge is 100%.
