CONSTITUTION:An iron exchange membrane is formed, while it comprises a polymer having -CF2- goup in its main structure, for example, the following constitutional formularI. A layer having crosslinking structure introduced by, for example, low temperature plasma treatment is formed locally in the vicinity of at least one surface layer of this ion exchange membrane. A range of 500Angstrom - 1mu thickness is preferable for this layer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to reduce thick area at the starting part and the finishing part of a coating film using a die coater with a constant delivery pump so that the quality and productivity of the film are improved by saving an amount of the coating solution, expansion of the effective area and shortning of the coated length. SOLUTION: In the method for forming a film on a member to be coated by supplying a coating solution to a coating tool from a fixed displacement pump and transferring at least one of the coating tool and the member to be coated relatively while discharging the coating solution from the discharge port to the member to be coated, the coating method, and the coating tool as well as the method for manufacturing the member for plasma displays and the plasma display, and the manufacturing equipment therefor are characterized in that the feed rate of the coating solution from the fixed displacement pump to the coating tool is gradually increased are reduced in proportion to the relative transfer rate to form the film thickness profile in the predetermined shape.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace a coating liquid or the like in a short period of time in a coating liquid feed line by installing respective fluid-passages in a cylinder storing a fluid inside and in a piston feeding the fluid to the inside or the outside of the cylinder by reciprocal motion, of a piston pump. SOLUTION: In a die coat method which is used for forming a coating film C on the surface of a material A to be coated such as a glass substrate or the like while a coating liquid 114 delivered out of contact with the surface, a piston pump 120 is used as a feeding means of the coating liquid 114 to a die 30. In order to feed the coating liquid 114 in a tank 112 to the die 30, a piston 128 is travelled to the lower side by a definite quantity and a cylinder 124 is filled in with the coating liquid 114 through a fluid-passage 132, after a taken-in valve 126 is opened and a delivery valve 122 is closed. Then, the piston 128 is travelled to the upper side by a definite quantity and the coating liquid 114 in the cylinder 124 is fed to a manifold 62 of the die 30 through an outlet 136, after the taken-in valve 126 is closed and the delivery valve 122 is opened.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with high current output characteristics, excellent cycle characteristics, and low rate of occurrence of internal short circuit during fabrication and use by using carbon fibers having a particle distribution in 50% cumulative diameter of the specified value or less in a part of electrode materials. SOLUTION: An electrode for a battery is capable of using in any secondary battery. Use of carbon fibers as part of an active material is essential. The carbon fibers are amorphous or crystalline long fibers having a 50% cumulative diameter of 15 μm or less and a 90% cumulative diameter of 25 μm or less, and crushed so that the content of particles having a particle size of 40 μm or more is 0.1% or less in volume ratio. Other carbonaceous material to be mixed is not especially limited, but graphite powder is preferable to increase capacity. The content of the carbon fibers is limited to 5 wt.% or more, based on the weight of the active material, but preferable to be 10-50 wt.% to optimize the balance of high current output characteristics, cycle characteristics, and battery capacity.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a charging rate, and improve a cycle characteristic by permeating electrolyte through at least one electrode sheet among a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet. SOLUTION: LiCoO2 as a main component, a polyvinylidene fluoride as a binding agent and artificial graphite as a conductive material, are used as a positive electrode active material. The active material is applied to both an outer peripheral surface current collecting body 1 and an inner peripheral surface current collecting body 2, and after heat treatment is performed, a press is performed under prescribed pressure, and a positive electrode sheet is obtained. In copper foil, holes are bored at prescribed intervals in lengthwise directional both end parts, and a material baked under vacuum after PAN type carbon fiber is turned into short fiber having an average length of 30μm, is used as a negative electrode active material. A binding agent and a conductive material which are the same as a positive electrode are applied to the current collecting bodies 1 and 2, and heat treatment is performed, and a press is performed, and a negative electrode sheet is obtained. In these positive electrode sheet and negative electrode sheet, an electrolyte permeable part exists at least in a single electrode sheet.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lithium ion from being trapped by a surplus negative electrode by a charging/discharging cycle to improve safety, by removing the electrode material in the innermost peripheral side surface portion of a positive electrode sheet, and in the outermost peripheral port portion of a negative electrode sheet. SOLUTION: Electrode material for a possitive electrode; obtained by kneading positive electrode active material containing a transition metallic compound, a binding agent, and conductive material; is coated on both surfaces of a sheet-like current collector except a side surface portion, and then is heat- treated to obtain a positive electrode sheet. Electrode material for a negative electrode; obtained by kneading negative electrode active material containing carbonaceous material, a binding agent, and conductive material; is coated on both surfaces of a sheet-like current collector except a side surface portion, to be heat-treated and pressed to obtain a negative electrode sheet. The positive and negative sheets are laminated via a separator, to be wound so that the positive and negative electrode sheets can be placed on the innermost and outermost peripheral sides respectively, to remove the electrode material from the innermost and outermost peripheral surface portions respectively.
