    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent gas barrier film with few pinholes, being capable of decreasing electric conductivity and with excellent gas barrier characteristics for steam, oxygen, etc., by constituting a gas barrier layer of the transparent gas barrier film of an oxide layer of a metal consisting of In and/or Sn and incorporating a specified fluorine in said oxide layer. CONSTITUTION:A gas barrier layer 2 is laminated on one face of a base consisting of a plastic film 1 such as polyethylene and polyester. This gas barrier layer is a metal oxide of a single metal such as In or Sn or an alloy thereof and this oxide layer is bound with 0.05-1 atom of fluorine to an atom of the metal. Surface electric resistance can be made higher with this fluorine without spoiling gas barrier characteristics. In addition, if necessary, a thermoplastic adhesive layer 3 is laminated on one face of the transparent gas barrier film. The gas barrier layer 2 is formed by means of a vacuum thin film forming method such as sputtering. A package film for food packagings, drugs, electronic parts, etc., for moisture proofing an oxidation-proofing can be obtd. thereby.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain transparency and extremely high gas barrier properties, by providing at least two metallic oxide layer each of which comprises a metal selected from the group consisting of In, Sn, Zn, Zr and Ti and has a specified thickness, on one side of a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:A layer of a metallic oxide comprising at least one metal selected from the group consisting of In, Sn, Zn, Zr and Ti is provided on at least one side of a plastic film base. The metallic oxide layer may be provided by vacuum deposition, ion plating, sputtering or the like. Among others, a sputtering method is most preferred from the viewpoint of control of the film thickness and composition of the metallic oxide, in the case where at least two metallic oxide layers are provided, with a thickness of 5-200Angstrom as a unit of one layer. The number of the metallic oxide layers provided in a laminate form is appropriately selected in consideration the required gas barrier properties and economy. The transparent gas-barrier film thus obtained is used preferably after being laminated with a heat-sealable thermoplastic adhesive layer.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminated film having excellent weatherability, excellent transparency, flaw resistance, and stain resistance by adding an ultraviolet absorbing substance in surface hardening layer of the laminated film and specifying a ratio between fluorine atoms and carbon atoms in the surface of the surface hardening layer. SOLUTION: In a laminated film, a surface hardening layer having a pencil hardness H or above is provided on at least one face of a thermoplastic film. The surface hardening layer contains an ultraviolet absorbing substance. Also, a ration between fluorine atoms and carbon atoms in the surface hardening layer by X-ray optoelectronic spectroscopic method is 0.2 or higher. The surface hardening layer having the pencil hardness H or above has a layer having acrylic, urethane, melamine, organic silicate, and silicone resin as a main component on a base material thermoplastic film. Particularly, the acrylic resin is preferable in terms of processability, hardness, and durability. Above all, an activating ray curing acrylic is preferable.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the weatherability, the tranparency, the anti-blocking property, and the antifouling property by laminating a layer consisting of a benzotriazole based monomer copolymerized acryl resin, silicone and/or a wax, on a thermoplastic film. SOLUTION: This film is constituted by laminating a layer consisting of a benzotriazole based monomer copolymerized acryl resin, silicone and/or a wax, on a thermoplastic film. The contact angle of the water drop when purified water is dripped on the surface of this film is measured, and that the contact angle between the laminated film surface and the water is 70 deg. or higher is preferable. Also, using a polyester film as the thermoplastic film, is preferable. The laminated film being constituted in such a manner can be stably used for outdoor applications for a long period of time because of the excellent weatherability, compared with general synthetic resin films.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce deterioration of gas barrier performance due to post- processing, in a gas barrier film consisting of a plastic film and an aluminum oxide thin film formed at its single surface, by taking the thickness and refractive index of the aluminum oxide thin film as particular values. CONSTITUTION: This gas barrier film is provided with an aluminum oxide thin film formed on at least the single surface of a plastic film consisting of a polypropylene film or a polyethylene terephthalate film by means of a physical deposition method or a chemical deposition method. The thickness of the aluminum oxide thin film is 8-50nm. The film thickness smaller than 8nm will not meet the gas barrier performance, while the film thickness larger than 50nm will generate a curling, and degrade the gas barrier performance rapidly at the time of processing. The refractive index of the aluminum oxide thin film is 1.70-1.90. The refractive index of not more than 1.70 makes the aluminum oxide thin film porous to be insufficient in gas barrier performance, while the refractive index of not less than 1.90 makes it difficult to ensure transparency.
