Abstract:
A drive assembly moves a vehicle closure panel from an open to a closed condition. The drive assembly has a housing and a motor mounted on the housing. A drum and gear assembly is rotatably mounted on the housing. The drum and gear assembly has a drum having a helical groove, a gear in driving engagement with the motor, and a spring biasing the drum in a winding direction relative to the gear. The drum and gear have a lost motion connection therebetween. A cable has an end connected to the closure panel and an opposite end connected to the drum about the helical groove in the winding direction. The drum rotates in the winding direction relative to the stationary gear as the closure panel is manually moved from the open to the closed condition with the spring maintaining a cable tension. The drum and gear rotate together in the winding direction upon energizing the motor effecting powered movement of the closure panel to the closed condition. The motor is afterwards energized in an opposite direction counter-rotating the gear relative to the drum back to a start position.

A window regulator system has a first rail (20) and a second rail (22). The second rail is spaced in a parallel relation with the first rail. A first slider assembly (30) slidably engages the first rail (32) and a second slider assembly slidably engages the second rail. A first cable (W1) engages the first slider (30) and has opposite ends thereof wound about a first drum assembly (76). The first cable (W1) is guidedly mounted on the first rail (20). A second cable (W2) engages the second slider and has opposite ends thereof wound about a second drum assembly (78). The second cable is guidedly mounted on the second rail (22). A drive system (24) simultaneously rotates the first and second drum assemblies. Rotating the first and second drum assemblies effects parallel movement of the first and second sliders. When a window is mounted on the sliders, the window regulator system effects opening and closing thereof.

An actuator assembly (20) for a powered sliding door system includes a housing (62) having a cavity (70) and a first cable reel (108) and a second cable reel (110) disposed in the cavity (70). The actuator assembly (20) includes a transmission assembly (138) being disposed in the cavity (70) and operatively connected to either the first cable reel (108) or the second cable reel (110) and a motor operatively connected to the transmission assembly (138). The actuator assembly (20) further includes a motor bracket (172) operatively connected to the transmission assembly (138) and enclosing the motor (192). The motor bracket (172) is adjustable relative to the housing (62) to form either a right-hand assembly, left-hand assembly or intermediate assembly for a right-hand and left-hand sliding door for a powered sliding door system (22).

The invention relates to a hoist for closing and opening the moving panels of the ventilation holes, particularly of a fire prevention system. Acording to the invention, the hoist comprises a box (1) including a drum (4) with the cable (5) wound thereon, said drum being fastened on a housing (3) and driven by means of a worm wheel (7) coupled with a worm (8) fastened in a clamp (9) which may be inclined and driven by means of a crank handle for coupling to the worm wheel (7), and disconnected by means of an assembly of levers and springs located on the clamp (9) and maintained in the engaged position with the latch (12), said disconnecting system comprising a lever (19) for the manual and pneumatic drive, said lever having the rotation axle (18) within the space confined by two parallel planes, perpendicular to the hoist fastening plane, one of said planes crossing the rotation axle of the worm wheel (7) and said other plane crossing the inclination axis of clamp (9), the disconnecting system optionally comprising a lever (24) destined to the electromagnetic drive and located in a plane parallel to the main surface of lever (19), said lever (24) having a rotation axis identic to the rotation axis of the worm wheel (7).

A threaded drum is rotated by a drive shaft. As the threaded drum rotates, part of a cable is wrapped around the drum, while at the same time, a second part of the cable is unwrapped from the drum. Rotation of the drive shaft is based on rotation of an operator.
