    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of a multilayered composite element which comprises a layer of leather, a layer of a hard component formed from a polymer, which is bonded to the leather layer in certain areas, and a layer of a soft component, which is arranged between the leather component and the hard component, which comprises laying the leather against one mold surface of a mold, positioning the soft component on the leather, and molding the polymer acting as hard component onto the leather layer and the soft component layer at a pressure of at least 50 bar, preferably greater than 100 bar, in particular greater than 180 bar, and at a temperature of greater than 100° C., preferably from 180 to 280° C., in particular from 200 to 250° C., by bonding the leather and the hard component to one another in certain areas at least, with temperature of the mold surface of the mold being controlled, at least during the bonding. The invention furthermore relates to a composite element obtainable by the process. The composite element is extremely robust, has a soft touch surface and is inexpensive to produce.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preparation of coloured melamine-formaldehyde condensation products. By it, pigments or dyestuffs are mixed in the reaction mixture, and in the first stage the dispersed mixture contains: a) substituted melamine with formula where all X1, X2 and X3 are selected from -NH2, -NHR1 and -NR1R2, and not all X1, X2 and X3 are -NH2 and every X1 and X2 is selected from hydroxy-C2-C10-alkyl, hydoxy-C2-C4-alkyl-(oxa-C2-C4-alkyl)n, n being from 1 to 5, and amino-C2-C12-alkyl, or mixtures of melamines with formula I b) optionally fromaldehyde or donor compounds of formaldehyde at molar ratio of formaldehyde to melamines I from 40:1 to 0, c) pigment or dyestuff, and d) optionally phenol, unsubstituted or substituted by radicals selected from the group consisting of C1-C9 alkyl and hydroxyl, C1-C4 alkanes substituted by 2 or 3 phenol groups, di (hydroxyphenyl) sulphones or instead this - mixtures thereof. The pigment or the dyestuff is from 0.01 to 30 wt.% and they are based on a) and b), and phenol is from 0 to 5 mol % and is based on a) and b), and during the intensive agitation all pigment aglomerates 21 m disappear. In the second stage the product of the first stage is mixed with melamine and optionally with phenol, substituted melamine with formula I, and phormaldehyde or compounds, donors or formaldehyde. Their quantities are selected in such way that the molar ratio of melamines (melamines and a) to b) is from 1:1.15 to 1:4.5, the pigment or dyestuff are from 0.01 to 5 wt.%, based on melamine and a) and b), and phenol is from 0 to 5 mol.% based on melamine and a) and b).
