Abstract: A method is described for producing electrically conductive plastics in which a compound selected from the class of pyrroles is mixed with small amounts of a strong acid and a solvent. Further addition substances may be present in the mixture, such as finely divided, electrically conductive organic plastics. Thereupon the solvent is evaporated, an electrically conductive plastic being formed. These plastics can be used in electrical engineering, in solar cells for the antistatic finishing of plastics, and for a number of other fields of use.

Abstract: The invention relates to non-flammable, thermoplastic moulded materials containing (A) at least one polyphenylene ether, (B) at least one vinyl aromatic polymer, and (C) at least one flame-proofing agent. Said materials are characterised in that they also comprise (D) a quantity of expandable graphite, which quantity improves the anti-drip properties. The invention also relates to the use of said materials in the production of non-flammable moulded structures, fibres and sheets.

In a second step, the thus obtained rubber (B) is mixed with a second or several other monomers (d), preferably dissolved or swollen therein, to form a second mixture (C). In a third step, the second mixture (C) is polymerised together with free radicals into the modified rubber moulding material (D).
