    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality wafer along with a method for efficiently manufacturing the wafer, for improved thermal shock resistance, with fewer crackings under thermal shocks. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a wafer comprises a baking process with a silicon carbide baked body which is cut into a wafer-like shape. Such modes are preferred as the temperature of the baking process is 1,350 deg.C or above, that is 1,400-1,550 deg.C, and the pressure in the baking process is 10 Torr or lower. The wafer is manufactured by the above wafer manufacturing method. Each of the modes are preferred to have a bending strength measured by the bending strength test method (JIS1601) is 700 MPa or higher, element composition ratio for all the parts is Si/C=0.48/0.52 to 0.52/0.48, and the density is 2.9 g/cm or higher.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light capable of improving luminance while thinning the thickness of a back light system. SOLUTION: This back light is provided with a prism sheet forming a prism string 10A on one face of a resin sheet and smoothing the other face and a scattering light transmission plate 12 obtained by dispersing a transparent dispersing material into transparent resin. A prism string (a vertical angle is 80 to 140 deg.) is formed on one side of the plate 12 in a direction rectangular to a light source 14 arranged on the side face part of the plate 12, the prism string is opposed to the prism string 10A (a vertical angle is 50 to 60 deg. and an angle formed by a normal from the vertical angle and a light source side prism surface is 10 to 30 deg.) of the sheet 10 and these prism strings are arranged so as to be orthogonally crossed to each other.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of producing a prism sheet at a good yield and easily producing the prism sheet having prism arrays on both surfaces. SOLUTION: The prism sheet is formed by packing or injecting a transparent resin material via an injection cylinder 14 into a mold in the state of mold clamping by a stationary mold 10 and a moving mold 12 having a cavity formed with the prism array of a triangular shape in section. The prism array formed in the stationary mold and the prism array formed in the moving mold are formed in the directions orthogonal with each other. The transparent resin material is packed or injected into the cavity formed at the time of clamping of the stationary mold and the moving mold, by which the prism sheet formed with the prism arrays respectively on both surfaces is injection-molded.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light with which stable high luminance is attainable regardless of viewing directions. SOLUTION: A prism sheet 10 is obtd. by forming a prism array 12 on the one surface of a resin sheet and forming the other surface as a smooth surface 14. The vertex (a) at the sectional shape of the respective prisms of the prism array 12 is 85 to 95 deg. and the angle (Θ1 ) formed by the normal from the vertex and the prism surface is 60 to 70 deg.. The prism sheet described above is arranged on a scattering light transmission plate in such a manner that the prism surfaces correspond thereto. A material prepd. by dispersing a transparent dispersion material into a transparent resin material is used for the scattering light transmission plate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep high fluidity even if magnetic powder is charged at high density and to improve shock resistance by using copolymer comprising olefin, whose number of carbons is in a specified range, and (met)acrylic acid or ester derivative thereof as a binder. SOLUTION: The copolymer resin (B) of olefin having the carbon number of 2-5 and (met)acrylic acid is frozen and crushed in liquid nitrogen, and powder is obtained. Strontium ferrite is used as magnetic powder (A), and both materials are mixed. The mixed powder is diffused and kneaded. As the result of the evaluation of the fluidity, shock resistance and magnetism of the kneaded material, it is found that this composition can readily constitute the high magnetic power magnet, wherein the magnetic powder (A) is charged in high density, by the improvement of the fluidity. The molded body, which can be molded in the complicated shape and has the excellent shock resistance, can be manufactured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a soundproof cover and soundproof capsule which have excellent sound shieldability and are used for devices, parts, etc., such as internal combustion engines, machine tools, power tools, motors, compressors and gears, with which noises and vibrations are of problem. CONSTITUTION:This soundproof cover is composed of a thermoplastic resin compsn., of which the modulus of elasticity in bending is >=10,000Kg/cm and the dynamic loss (tandelta) at least at 20 to 60 deg.C is >=0.08. Then, the soundproof cover has a large internal loss leading to a decrease of solid sounds and a high modulus of elasticity to make the cover sufficiently usable as a structural material and is useful for decreasing the noises of the power tools, motors, gears, compressors 3, etc. In addition, the soundproof cover has a high effect as the soundproof capsule 1 as well and its industrial effect is high.
