Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic, capable of imparting excellent hair setting power to blow set and combed hair and further a pliant and smooth touch without stiffness and stickiness to the hair. CONSTITUTION:This hair cosmetic contains (A) a highly polymerized organopolysiloxane containing an organopolysiloxane segment, having 50000-500000, preferably 100000-300000 weight-average molecular weight and bound through an aralkylene group containing a hetero-atom to a poly(N- acylalkyleneimine) segment comprising a recurring unit expressed by formula I [R is H, a 1-22C alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aralkyl or an aryl; (k) is 2 or 31 at (98/2) to (40/60), preferably (92/8) to (45/55) weight ratio of the organopolysiloxane segment to the poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) segment at the terminal or a side chain of the organopolysiloxane segment in the molecule and (B) a highly polymerized dimethylpolysiloxane expressed by the formula II [ (n) is >=500]. The amounts of the ingredients are 0.1-10wt.% ingredient (A) and 0.01-10wt.% ingredient (B).

Addition of an acid or alkali to the present composition to adjust its pH value to 2-5 or 8-11, respectively, will swell the hair, therefore being favorable.

And temperatures for formation of liposome are desirably 40-80 deg.C. By applying this method, small-sized liposome having a mean diameter of 500nm or smaller can be formed.

As a result, the hair treatment, such as hair curling and waving and hair softening, may be efficiently executed with ease.
