Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce variance in the tension of a film taken up by a drive roll by employing a control device for controlling the brake force of a brake device according to the output signal of a position detection device. CONSTITUTION:When the tension of a film 1 decreases, the film 1 between guide rolls 2 and 3 slackens, a position detection device 15 detects the slack and makes a control device 14 work, and the brake force of a brake device 12 is increased. As a result, rotation of a shaft core 9 is also braked and the rewinding tension of a roll-like film 10, namely the tension of the film 1, increases. When the film tension increases on the contrary, slack of the film 1 between guide rolls 2 and 3 due to suction forces by a suction device 7 decreases, the position detection device 15 detects the decrease in the slack to make the control device 14 work to reduce the brake force of the brake device 12. As a result, rotation of the shaft core 9 becomes easier and the rewinding force of the roll-like film 10, namely the tension of the film 1, decreases.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To be good in engageability with a spindle, excellent in concentricity and to provide self-lubricating capability as well as to make it manufacturable by means of an injection molding process, by letting the sleeve form a tubular body consisting of plastics and have an almost regular polygonal cross section in the inner circumferen tial edge and a round cross section in the outer circumferential edge, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 1 is formed into a tubular body consisting of plastics, and the outer circumferential edge 2 is a round form in section and the inner circumferen tial edge 3 is an almost regular polygonal section, respectively. With suchlike constitu tion, each side of the outer circumference of a spindle and the inner circumference of the sleeve 1 comes to contact with each other in consequence. When this sleeve 1 is offered as a product, sectional accuracy in the inner circumferential edge is manufacturable better than the conventional round sectional one interms of accuracy and, what is more, engageability with the spindle can be made yet better. In addition, raw material is of plastics inherent in self-lubricating ability, manufacture and mainte nance both are easy, and there is nothing of any smudge due to scattering and sticking of a lubricant, thus work environment also comes to very good. Moreover, it is manufacturable accurately by means of a simple method, say, an injection molding process.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform plasma treatment of one or both surfaces of an object at a high speed under stable conditions, by providing a feeding means, a winding means, a carrying means and a plasma radiation means in one vacuum treatment vessel. CONSTITUTION:An object 23 to be treated, wound around a feed roll 2 about a rotary shaft 4 disposed in a vacuum treatment vessel 1, is fed through a group of guide rollers 16 and 17 which constitute a carrying means 21 to a plasma radiation means 22 comprising two pairs of cathode plates 6, 6 or 6', 6' and a plurality of anodes 7 to perform plasma treatment of one surface of the object 23. This object is wound around a rotary shaft 5 in the form of winding roll. The object 23 fed from the roll 2 is fed through a roller 16 between electrodes 6 and 7 to effect treatment of one surface, fed through a guide roller 15 between electrodes 6' and 7' to effect treatment of the other surface and wound around a rotary shaft in the form of a winding roll 3.

The changeover of the routes 8 and 9 is carried out by using guide chains 8' and 9' placed on both ends of a transfer means 21 consisting of plural guide roll groups and tying one end of the material 23 to either one thereof.
