PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition comprising a polysuccinimide useful as a dispersant and an adhesion inhibitor in a lubricant and a hydrocarbon fuel, and to provide an aftertreatment derivative thereof. SOLUTION: A method for reacting a mixture under reactive conditions is provided, which mixture comprises a first copolymer comprising a first unsaturated acidic reagent and a 1,1-disubstituted olefin, a second unsaturated acidic reagent, a 1-olefin, a second copolymer and a polyamine, wherein the first unsaturated acidic reagent and the second unsaturated acidic reagent can be the same or different and the mixture contains from 0.1 to 1.5 equivalents of polyamine per equivalent of acidic groups of the first and second copolymers. Disclosed is a mannich reaction product which is obtainable by reacting an alkenyl succinic acid or an alkenyl succinic anhydride, a polyamine, an aldehyde and a sulfurized alkylphenol represented by the general formula (I). wherein R indicates an alkyl group having 4 to 25 carbon atoms, m indicates an integer of 1 to 8, x indicates 1 or 2, and z indicates an integer of 1 to 9. Useful as a detergent-dispersant which has excellent stability at high temperatures and has an oxidation stability, a detergent-dispersant containing the same, a process of producing it, and fuel oil and lubricating oil compositions comprising it.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polysuccinimide composition which is derived from an acid derivative, a polyamine, and a polycarboxylic acid derivative, and is useful as a dispersant and an antiadhesive agent in a lubricant and a hydrocarbon fuel. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a polysuccinimide composition by reacting a mixture, the mixture comprises an acid derivative; a polycarboxylic acid derivative; and a polyamine selected from the group consisting of an alkenyl- or alkyl succinic acid derivative, a polymer of a primary unsaturated acidic medical agent and 1,1-disubstituted olefin, and a mixture thereof, and the reacting mixture contains from 4 to 40 wt.% of the polycarboxylic acid derivative, and the mixture contains from 0.1 to 1.5 equivalents of the polyamine per equivalent of acidic groups of the acid derivative + the acidic groups of the polycarboxylic acid derivative.
