Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a preload generating a harmful matter by preventing hot gas derived from previously performed combustion from being supplied to a catalyst stage. SOLUTION: In an operation method of a power station plant which is mainly composed of a compressor 4, a combustion unit and a turbine 12, and takes a form in which the combustion unit is composed of an adjusting stage and a combustion chamber for at least a part of combustion air, a part 13a of compressed air 13 from the compressor 4 is mixed with a fuel quantity 14a by being quided through the adjusting stage. An air-fuel mixture reaches a genarator 8, and hydrogen fractionated in the generator is introduced into the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber is composed of a starting burner 1, a catalyst stage 2 and a second combustion stage on its downstream side. An air-fuel mixture 16a fractionated in the generator 8 and another compressed air 13 reach the combustion chamber, and between plural combustion devices in this combustion chamber, interdependent combustion is generated to reduce discharge of a harmful matter in relation to high speed operation of the plant.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform damping each blade vibration by attaching a ring having different poralizations and made of plural ring segments to a wall limiting flow of a turbine casing oppositely to a blade end in a radial direction, providing a each blade end with a cover plate made of electroconductive material. SOLUTION: A magnet ring 4 made of permanent magnetic material having magnetic polarizations 7a, 7b, 7c of S-N-S alternate and divided into three rings 6 are attached in a circumferential direction of a turbine casing 1, so as to surround a turbine impeller. A turbine blade 2 which is arranged oppositely to the magnet ring 4 in a radial direction has a cover plate 3 made of material of good electrical conductivity at its blade end 8. When the turbine blade 2 is vibrated, magnetic force line in the cover plate 3 of the blade is temporarily varied to induce eddy current in the cover plate 3 for generating Joule heat. Energy is thus diffused for damping the blade vibration.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress discharge of all toxic materials such as UHC, CO generated at burning by providing a notable cross sectionally enlarged part for self- igniting a fuel and air mixture at a second stage in a mixer for forming the mixture at a first stage in a multi-stage burner. SOLUTION: A first stage 1 has a mixer 100 for forming a fuel and air mixture 19 at a head side, a catalyst 3 disposed at the downstream side of the mixer 100 and completely burns the mixture 19 by the catalyst 3. A vortex- inducing unit 200 is disposed at the downstream side of the catalyst 3, and thereby hot gas, 3, turns into a swirling flow. Gas fuel and/or liquid fuel 9 can be injected in a gas main flow 4 at the downstream side of the unit 200. A second stage 2, provided continuing to the flowing direction forms an intrinsic burning zone 11, has a notable cross sectional enlarged part 12, which specifies the flow cross sectional area of the starting end side of the stage 2, thereby effectively self-igniting the mixture 19 to stabilize a flame surface 21.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a coarse fraction other than a fine fraction containing the greater part of a residual harmful substance suitable for a building material or the accumulation of a waste refuse disposable yard by roughly purifying a waste refuse incineration sludge immediately after discharged from a furnace without precooling the same and dividing the same into at least two fine and coarse fractions. SOLUTION: The dry sludge fed out of an incinerator is transported into a post-treatment apparatus to be allowed to reach a rod-shaped screen at first to mechanically separate too large particles. Next, this roughly screened substance is advanced on a 2 mm screen operated electromagnetically to separate a fine fraction to reduce dust addition capacity for a succeeding treatment process. This fraction contains up to 90% of a harmful substance contained in the coarse sludge. Next, a >2 mm coarse fraction is sent to a perforated screen with a perforation size of 25-35 mm and the overflow component from the screen is passed through a reading plane to separate non-combustion matter and obstruction matter. Subsequently, the rough fraction is ground by a hammer mill to obtain valuables from which dust particles are removed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a better atomization of a liquid fuel, eventually a better combustion thereof using a limited amount of air instead of a relatively large amount of air that will cause an adverse effect on the combustion in the gaseous fuel powered operation in a burner suitable for the both operation by a gaseous fuel and the liquid fuel. SOLUTION: A liquid fuel 4 is directed at a high flow and swirl velocity into settling chamber 13 of an air blast nozzle 2, where the flow and swirl velocity is reduced to form a thin fluid film on a prefilming lip 15. Blast air 5 from a blower is sent to rub the film and separates small fuel droplets with a very small particle size from the fuel film to be supplied to a burner inner chamber together with air.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To measure a physical/chemical quantity at a low cost without depending on the influence of the temperature by always obtaining a polarization analysis modulation signal from at least one of optical detectors by means of a structure provided with a plurality of polarizing filters. CONSTITUTION: A polarization modulated optical signal L is incident, for example, on a beam splitter ST from a magneto-optical Faraday rotator with the linear polarization direction P. The polarization direction P is provided with a polarization angle α (t) toward a mean position of a polarization face α0. The light signal incident on the beam splitter ST is separated into two partial beams so as to reach the first and the second detectors D1, D2 via the first and the second polarizing filters P1, P2 which cross each other orthogonally. The detectors D1, D2 convert light output signals S1, S2 into a voltage and a digital signal proportional to the voltage on the output side and feed out them to a microprocessor 1 for evaluation. The microprocessor 1 outputs a modulation signal S, which does not depend on the condition of the polarization face α0, so as to feed it to a command device 2.

CONSTITUTION: For fuel 15 containing a highly reactive gas component and having a medium calorific value, at least one row of nozzles 10 are arranged on the periphery of partial conical bodies 1 and 2 near the burner outlet at a distance of approximately maximum 30% of a nominal burner diameter. For the highly reactive fuel 15, one fuel conduit 11 and a distributing passage 17 are arranged in a range of a nozzle 10. Further, two systems for injecting two gaseous fuels 14 and 15 are constituted unrelatedly independently from each other.
