Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring the skin elasticity and a method thereof are provided to measure the skin elasticity accurately and utilize the measured result as the basic data for determining the Sasang constitution. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the skin elasticity includes a pressure vessel(10), a distance detection means(20), a pressure varying means(30), a measurement means(40) and a control means(50). The pressure vessel has an opening(11) which comes in contact with the skin as having opened one side. The distance detection means is installed inside the pressure vessel. The pressure varying means varies the pressure inside the pressure vessel. The measurement means measures the change of distance detected by the distance detection means according to the change of inner pressure.

Abstract:
An apparatus for measuring physical characteristics of the human skin is provided to automatically measure thickness and elasticity of the human skin, and improve objectiveness and precision of the measurement. The apparatus for measuring physical characteristics of the human skin comprises: a stage(1) for placing a testing region of the human skin; a thickness-measuring tool(2) for measuring the thickness of the skin by grasping the testing region on the stage; an elasticity-measuring tool(3) for measuring the elasticity of the skin by pulling the testing region grasped by the thickness-measuring tool and then releasing it; a control portion(4) for controlling operation of the thickness-measuring tool and elasticity-measuring tool; and a central treating portion(5) for comparing of the thickness and elasticity by using the values measured by the thickness-measuring tool and elasticity-measuring tool, wherein the thickness-measuring tool contains a pair of rotation roller(21) for grasping the testing region, a motor(22) and a sensor(23) for detecting the angle change between the rotation rollers; and the elasticity-measuring tool contains a elasticity tool(31) for pulling and releasing the testing region, and a sensing portion(32) containing a force sensor for detecting force by the elasticity tool.
