    Abstract: A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins CH 2 =CHR in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Mg, Ti, Bi, halogen and an electron donor obtained from a process comprising: (a) dissolving a Mg(OR) 2 compound where R groups, equal or different to each other, are C 1 -C 15 hydrocarbon groups optionally containing a heteroatom selected from O, N and halogen, in an organic liquid medium in order to have a liquid mixture; (b) contacting the above mixture (a) with Ti Cl 4 obtaining a liquid mixture not containing solid phase, and (c) subjecting the liquid mixture (b) to conditions such that solid catalyst particles are formed, said process being characterized by the fact that (i) a Bi compound and (ii) a bidentate electron donor compound is present in one or more of steps (a) to (c) and/or contacted with the solid catalyst particles obtained from (c).

    Abstract: A polypropylene composition comprising: A) from 50 wt% to 90 wt%; of a propylene homopolymer; B) from 10 wt% to 50wt%; of a copolymer of propylene with from 30.0 wt% to 70.0wt%, of ethylene derived units; the sum of the amount of component A) and B) being 100; the composition having: i) an intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C comprised between 2.2 and 4.0 dl/g; ii) a MFR L (Melt Flow Rate according to ISO 1133, condition L, i.e. 230°C and 2.16 kg load) from 0.5 to 100 g/10 min; iii) a xylene soluble fraction ranging from 20 wt% to 50 wt%; the polypropylene composition being obtained by a two steps polymerization process wherein the catalyst system contains bismuth.

    Abstract: A catalyst for the (co)polymerization of alpha-olefins comprising the product obtained by contacting: (i) a solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, Cl, and an internal electron donor compound, wherein said solid catalyst component contains from 0.1 to 50%wt of Bi with respect to the total weight of said solid catalyst component; (ii) an alkyl aluminum compound and, (iii) at least one external electron donor compound having the general formula: (R1)a Si(OR2)b wherein R8 and R9 are independently selected among alkyl radicals with 1-8 carbon atoms and a is 0 or 1 and a+b=4.
