    Abstract: A solid cleaning composition includes methacrylate, water, defoamer, carb oxylate, sodium carbonate, metasilicate, and surfactant. The solid cleaning composition includes between about 1% and about 10% methacrylate by weight, less than about 5% water by weight, between about 1% and about 5% defoamer b y weight, between about 10% and about 30% carboxylate by weight, between abo ut 15% and about 80% sodium carbonate by weight, between about 1% and about 5% metasilicate by weight, and between about 1% and about 5% surfactant by w eight. The solidification system may be used, for example, in a solid deterg ent composition.

    Abstract: The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a composition comprising a water-miscible silicone material wherein the composition has good wetting to polyethylene terephthalate surfaces. The compatibility of the lubricating composition with polyethylene terephthalate is increased because the wetting of the composition to polyethylene terephthalate is improved.

    Abstract: A peroxyacid antimicrobial concentrate and use composition is provided comprising a C1 to C4 peroxycarboxylic acid or a C1 to C4 peroxycarboxylic acid combined with a C6 to C18 peroxyacid in beverage processing. The combination of these materials produces a synergistic effect, providing a much more potent biocide than can be obtained by using these components separately. Other components can be added to the composition such as hydrotrope coupling agents, stabilizers, etc. An effective antimicrobial use solution is formed at low concentrations when the concentrate composition is diluted with water to a pH in the range of about 2 to 8. Sanitizing of substantially fixed, "in-place" processing lines in dairies, breweries, and other food and beverage processing operations is one utility of the composition. Another utility is in processes including aseptic cold filling of beverage containers such as cans, glass bottles or two liter PET bottles.
