Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective cleaning method for cleaning a hard floor surface which is capable of restoring a virtually clean hard floor surface with non-slip properties effectively. SOLUTION: This cleaning method for a hard floor surface of a biscuit firing ceramic tile hardened by grout which has complex soils including fat and Ca salt of fatty acid includes the following sequential processes (a) to (c): (a) first of all, a first cleaner having alkaline pH contacts the hard floor surface where the complex soils exist, and a mechanical force is applied to the complex soils; (b) next, a second cleaner having acidic pH contacts the treated floor surface and adds mechanical soil removing operation; and (c) then, a third cleaner having neutral pH contacts the treated floor surface. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tableware washing method which is clean and does not cause any stain and fouling of stripe by rinsing with a rinsing water after washing tableware by a detergent without addition of a rinsing agent. SOLUTION: The tableware washing method comprises (a) bringing the tableware into contact with the aqueous washing composition containing 250-3,000 parts of the alkaline tableware washing detergent per one million parts of an aqueous diluted liquid based on the weight wherein the detergent comprises (i) 10-60 wt.% of sodium carbonate and (ii) 20-40 wt.% of the rinsing agent containing the nonionic surfactant of C 10-14 alkyl-O-(EO) 12 -benzyl, C 10-14 alkyl-O-(EO) 12.4 -benzyl and HO-(PO) 18 -(EO) 14 -(PO) 18 -H ( wherein EO denotes oxyethylene, PO denotes oxypropylene) and (b) bringing the washed tableware substantially not containing the intentionally added rinsing agent into contact with an aqueous rinse for drinking substantially not containing an intentionally and additionally added rinsing agent for the purpose of removing the aqueous residue. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based concentrated composition essentially free from a hydrocarbon wax and polydimethylsiloxane, showing high washing efficiency and leaving no water spots on the surface of the washed vehicle by mixing a specified amount of an aliphatic alkyl ether amine composition with a stabilizer which solubilizes the ether amine and water. SOLUTION: This composition comprises about 0.1 to 50wt.% composition containing an aliphatic alkyl ether amine of the formula: R-O-R2 NH-A (wherein A is R3 NH2 or H; R2 and R3 are each a 1-6C linear or branched alkylene; and R is an about 6 to 28C aliphatic group), desirably a 10-20C alkyloxyalkyl-1,3- diaminopropane or a 10-20C alkyloxyalkylamine, an affective amount of a stabilizer comprising a neutralizing acid and/or a nonionic surfactant (e.g. 6-24C alcohol ethoxylate) and a major proportion of water.
Abstract:
A product dispenser and carrier (10) for attachment to a surface such as an inner surface of a dryer includes a plate member (11) and a product carrier (21). The plate member (11) attaches to the surface and the product carrier (21) releasably attaches to the plate member (11). Product (31) is operatively connected to the product carrier (21).
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to compositions that include: (a) about 0.1 to about 55 wt-% of an alkyl ether amine composition of the formula (la): Rl-O-R2 NH-A (la) wherein A is hydrogen or R3NH2, R is a C6-C28 fatty aliphatic group, and R2 and R3 are each independently a C1-C8 alkylene; an alkyl diamine compound of formula (Ib): RNCH2CH2CH2NH2 (Ib) wherein R is C6-C20 alkyl; or a mixture thereof (b) about 0.1 to about 55 wt-% of propoxylated or mixed alkoxylated quaternary ammonium compound of the formula (II) (II)wherein R4, R5, R6, and R7 are each independently hydrogen, C 1-C 10 alkyl, or C1-C10 alkoxy, such that at least two of R4, R5, R6, and R7 are a C1 -C10 alkyl, or at least one of R4, R5, R6, and R7 are a C1-CI0alkoxy; and X includes an anion; (c) a stabilizer including a neutralizing acid and a nonionic surfactant; and (d) water. The present invention is also directed to methods of drying and polishing a vehicle surface by using the vehicle care composition.
Abstract:
A concentrate and a ready-to-use or diluted formulation for an aqueous vehicle cleaner can remove a wide range of different types of traffic film using either low pressure application, hand pressure application, water jet spray apparatus, clean-in-place systems or other manual or mechanical washing systems. The compositions may comprise, for example, one or more solutions that each or collectively contain or comprises: a) at least one anionic surfactant; b) at least one poly[oxyalkylene]ammonium cationic surfactant; and c) an alkaline agent. Optional additional ingredients may comprise at least one polycarboxylic acid chelating agent (preferably an aminocarboxylic acid chelating agent), at least one non-ionic or amphoteric surfactant, at least one hydrotrope, inorganic and/or organic acids and at least one silicate. The alkaline agent may provide a pH (when the finished product is diluted to 0.5 to 5 % by weight in water) will be between about 9 to 13. The concentrate may be provided as a one-part or two part solution. Certain formulations have been found to be shelf stable as one-part concentrate or ready-to-use solutions, even with significantly different properties amongst the components. The compositions of the invention are also used in cleaning processes for surfaces, especially vehicle surfaces in car wash systems. The compositions are used in such processes where there are single or multiple liquid application steps.

Abstract:
Method of cleaning a hard surface (e.g. floor) in order to remove a complex soil comprises contacting the surface with a first cleaning composition which has a non-neutral pH and then contacting the surface with a second cleaning composition which has a complementary non-neutral pH to that of the first cleaning composition. (The term "complementary" refers to acidic or alkaline as appropriate). Mechanical force may be employed during the application of either or both of the cleaning compositions.
