Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the dispersibility and foam stability of an aq. gypsum slurry by using the condensate (neutral salt) of the aromatic compd. having an introduced oxyalkylene group and the aromatic compd. having a carboxyl with formaldehyde as the essential component. CONSTITUTION: 1-98mol% aromatic compd. having an introduced 2-3C oxyalkylene group, 1-98mol% aromatic compd. contg. a carboxyl and 1-98mol% aromatic compd. having a sulfonic group, if necessary, are charged into a reaction vessel and agitated at 70-90 deg.C, aq. formalin is dripped in 1 to 4hr, and the mixture is condensed under reflux and neutralized, as required, to obtain the dispersant for an aq. gypsum slurry consisting of the formaldehyde condensate (neutral salt) having 3,000-100,000 weight average mol.wt. (the condensation degree calculated from the mol.wt. by the gel permeation chromatography/ polystyrene sodium sulfonate conversion method).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dispersion stabilizer which gives a coal water slurry improved in dispersion stability and fluidity by copolymerizing two specified monomers. CONSTITUTION:0.1-100mol% monomer of formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each H or methyl; m is 0 to 2; AO is a 2-3C oxyalkylene; n is 110 to 300; and X is H or a 1-3C alkyl) is copolymerized with 100mol% monomer of formula II and/or formula III [wherein R3, R4 and R5 are each H, methyl or (CH2)m2 COOM2; R6 is H or methyl; M1, M2 and Y are each H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium, or a (substituted)alkylammonium; and m2 is 0 to 2] in the presence of a polymerization initiator to give the objective dispersion stabilizer comprising a copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight (by the gel permeation chromatography, in terms of sodium polystyrenesulfonate) of 1,000 to 500,000. A coal water slurry is mixed with this dispersion stabilizer in an amount of 0.05-3.0wt.% based on the coal.

This admixture is blended with 5-50wt.% of well-known cement admixture such as formaldehyde condensate of naphthalenesulfonic acid salt.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a separation reducing agent for hydraulic compositions such as cement milk, mortar, concrete. CONSTITUTION:This separation reducing agent for the hydraulic cement compositions consists of a reaction product of an alkylen oxide addition compound in which >=20mols of alkylene oxides are added to a primary alcohol having >=12 carbon elements in the molecule, a primary mercaptan or an alkyl phenol with a compound having >=1 epoxy group. The separation reducing agent is superior to the suppression for bleeding of the hydraulic cement composition and the reduciability of aggregate separation, thereby a hydraulic cement composition being superior to the quality by using it for a cement paste, mortar and concrete for engineering works, buildings, grouting, etc., is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve slump loss by using a cement admixture containing a co-condensate prepared by subjecting plural compound shown by specific general formulas and melamine and/or urea to addition co-condensation with formaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:Given amounts of (A) a compound shown by formula I and (B) a compound shown by formula II (R is H or lower alkyl; X is alkali metal) and (C) melamine shown by formula III (Y is H or CH2SO3X) and/or (D) urea shown by formula IV (at least two of Y are H) are weighed, mixed with water and adjusted to proper solid content concentration and pH. The solution is heated to about 80-90 deg.C, to which formalin corresponding to a given amount of formaldehyde is dripped. The compounds are subjected to addition co- condensation at pH 7-11 while stirring to give a co-condensate having a constituent molecular ratio of (A)/(B)/[(C)+(D)]=0.1-1.0/0.1-1.0/0.1-1.0 and 1,000-50,000 molecular weight. The co-condensate is used alone as a cement admixture or together with another admixture and mixed with cement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an admixture of cement which is excellent in action for enhancing fluidity of cement composition and water reducing properties, etc., by constituting the admixture of cement while keeping the formaldehyde additive cocondensate of specified two kinds of aromatic sulfonic acid alkali metallic salt as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The formaldehyde additive cocondensate having two components consisting of a component A and a component B is produced by reacting the compd. A (e.g. phenol sodium sulfonate) shown in a formula I (R is H and 1-6C lower alkyl, X is alkali metal) and the compd. (B) e.g. sodium sulfanilate) shown in a formula II (Y is alkali metal) and formalin (C) in alkalinity. Then, an admixture of cement is produced by utilizing this cocondensate as an essential component and blending a thickener and a water-holding agent, etc., in accordance with necessity. When this admixture is added to cement composition, the fluidity thereof is enhanced. Therefore, the degree of water reduction is increased and also transport due to force-feed of a pump is enabled.
