    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an antistatic composition which is improved in permanent antistatic properties and gives a molding improved in appearance by mixing a polyolefin, a polyether ester amide, and a specified styrenesulfonic acid compound. CONSTITUTION:An amino carboxylic acid, a dicarboxylic acid/diamine salt or a lactam, a dicarboxylic acid, and a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol are melt compounded, and polymerization is effected in a high vacuum to give a polyether ester amide (A). 100 pts.wt. mixture of 90-1wt.% component A and 10-99wt.% polyolefin (B) is mixed with 0.01-50 pts.wt. styrenesulfonic acid compound (C) of the formula [wherein R is H, alkyl or aryl; X is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal or ammonium; (n) is 1 to 20,000], thus giving the objective composition.

CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises 96.5-30wt.% thermoplastic polyester with an intrinsic viscosity of 0.36-1.60, 3-60wt.% rubber-reinforced graft polymer obtd. by grafting 100 pts.wt. monomer component consisting of 50-100wt.% arom. vinyl monomer and 50-0wt.% vinyl cyanide monomer onto 12-80 pts.wt. nondiene rubber, 0-40wt.% vinyl polymer obtd. by polymerizing a vinyl monomer of formula I (wherein R1 is H or lower alkyl; and R2 is phenyl, cyano, or a 1-10C alkyl ester group), and 0.1-45wt.% vinyl polymer which has glycidyl ester groups and is obtd. by copolymerizing 99.95-40wt.% the vinyl monomer of formula I with 0.05-60wt.% vinyl monomer of formula II (wherein R3 is R2) having a glycidyl ester group.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance permanent antistatic properties, extrusion processability, light screening properties and gas barrier properties by laminating an antistatic composition composed of specific amide or specific amide and other thermoplastic resin to a metal foil. CONSTITUTION:A layer of an antistatic resin composition consisting of polyether ester amide and other thermoplastic resin, pref., a polyolefinic resin is laminated to a metal foil. Polyether ester amide is a polymer wherein a polyamide component and a polyether component are bonded through an ester bond. As the metal foil, an aluminum foil is pref. used. As the antistatic resin composition, polyether ester amide can be independently used and can be also used in the form of the blend with other thermoplastic resin. The lamination form of the laminate is set to a two-layer structure wherein the antistatic resin composition layer is an auxiliary layer 2 and the aluminum foil layer is a main layer or a three-layer structure wherein the auxiliary layers 2 are laminated to both surfaces of the main layer 1.

ABS resin with 15-89 pts.wt. polyester resin prepared by modifying 100wt.% thermoplastic polyester prepared from an 8-20C aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its lower alkyl ester and a 2-20C diol with 0.01-20wt.% phenolic hydroxyl-containing organic sulfonic acid salt of formula I (wherein Ar is a 6-30C aromatic ring; M is an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal; m is 1 or 2; and n is 1-5), 1-70 pts.wt. modified vinyl polymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising 50-90wt.% aromatic vinyl, 9-50wt.% vinyl cyanide and 0.1-20wt.% alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt and an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid having the relationship of formula II, wherein x and y are the weight percentages of the alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid metal and the (alpha,betaunsaturated carboxylic acid in the copolymer, respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having permanent antistatic properties and excellent impact resistance, rigidity and moldability and not suffering from delamination by mixing a specified polyether ester amide with a specified polyolefin oligomer. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin composition comprising 1-99wt.% polyether ester amide containing 10-90wt.% polyether ester units prepared by copolymerizing a monomer selected among a C6 or higher aminocarboxylic acid, its lactam, and a salt of a C6 or higher diamine with a dicarboxylic acid with a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol of a number-average mol.wt. of 200-6000 and a C4-20 dicarboxylic acid and 99-1wt.% polyolefin oligomer of a number- average mol.wt. of 1000-20000, prepared by graft-polymerizing an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride. Example so the monomer which can desirably be used include caprolactam, 12-aminododecanoic acid and hexamethylenediamine/adipic acid salt.
