Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily fold a continuous paper sheet by varying the swing angle of a swing guide and the upper surface height of the continuous paper sheet on a paper table, in a folding machine for the continuous paper sheet used in an offset form printing machine. CONSTITUTION:A feeding screw 1702 is set in the vertical direction inside the back surface box 1701 of a folding machine 17, and said feed screw 1702 is driven by an elevation motor 1703. In order to detect the upper surface height of a continuous paper sheet 12, the light projection sides and the light receiving sides of the paper-surface detecting photoelectric sensors 1717 and 1718 are arranged in parallel to a table 16 surface, and when the loading height of the continuous paper sheets 12 reaches a prescribed height, light is shielded. The table 16 is lowered by a minute distance by driving the table raising motor 1703 according to the detection of the light shielding, and the proper folding operation corresponding to the vertical size of the continuous paper sheet 12 is permitted by the aid of the swing angle of a swing guide (paddle) 15, and the upper surface height of the paper sheet 12 is kept at a prescribed height. The paddle 15 is swung by a prescribed swing angle by a pulse motor 1723.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a main body mechanism of the titled apparatus at the time of attachment and detachment thereof, by a method wherein a pump having no check valve is turned ON/OFF correspondingly to the presence/absence of the detection output of a liquid level sensor and the liquid level of a liquid tank kept contant during washing and the washing solution in the liquid tank is automatically discharged simultaneously with the finish of washing. CONSTITUTION:At the beginning of washing, the washing solution stored in a storage tank 3101 is pumped up by a feed/discharge pump 3102 having no check valve to be replenished to a washing solution supply unit 18. During washing, the feed/discharge pump 3102 is stopped and driven by the presence/absence of the detection signal the operation of a magnet 1809 and a lead switch caused by the flotation of a float 1808 to always hold the level of the washing solution in the liquid tank 1805 to a constant level. After the finish of the washing solution, the driving of the feed/discharge pump 3102 is stopped and the washing solution is automatically discharged from the washing solution supply unit 18 by the liquid pressure of the washing solution itself to be returned to the storage tank 3101 through a feed/discharge pipe 32 and the feed/discharge pump 3102. Therefore, damage due to the flooding of the washing solution at the time of the attachment and detachment of the supply unit 18 can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To supply a proper amount of a washing solution to the surface of a cylinder and to prevent the contamination of the washing solution in a liquid tank, by arranging a washing solution supply roller and a suck-up roller so as to provide an interval sufficiently minute to connect both rollers by the surface tension of the washing solution. CONSTITUTION:A suck-up roller 1804 and a solvent applying roller 1803 are arranged so as to provide an interval (d) sufficiently minute to connect both rollers by the surface tension of a washing solution. Therefore, a part of the washing solution drawn up corresponding to the rotation of the suck-up roller 1804 is transferred from the peripheral surface of the roller 1804 to the peripheral surface of the roller 1803 to form a liquid film having a uniform thickness and uniformly supplied to the entire surface of a blanket cylinder 2 therefrom. Because the roller 1803 is intermittently contacted with the cylinder 2 during the washing of the cylinder 2, the residual ink on the cylinder 2 is adhered to the surface of the roller 1803. However, the ink adhered to the roller 1803 is not directly mixed in the washing solution in a liquid tank 1805 by the action of the minute interval (d) and, because the mixing amount can be also suppressed to a lower degree by the adjustment of the interval (d), the contamination of the washing solution in the liquid tank is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance washing effect, by uniformly supplying a proper amount of a washing solution to the entire surface of a cylinder at once and efficiently wiping the surface of the cylinder wetted with the washing solution. CONSTITUTION:During the wiping of a blanket cylinder 2 with a web 1905, a washing solution is intermittently supplied to a part of the periphery of the cylinder 2 at the beginning of each rotation of the cylinder 2 while the contact time of a solvent applying roller 1803 with the cylinder 2 is controlled. By this mechanism, a proper supply amount of the washing solution is always kept. The web 1905 is contacted with the cylinder 2 and a web take-up motor is intermittently driven at the beginning of each rotation and the web 1905 is taken up by a take-up roller 1904 while intermittently sent. Therefore, the web 1905 is renewed over a proper length at every one rotation of the cylinder 2 and the surface of the cylinder 2 is wipen with the web 1905 not contaminated always. At the time of the final rotation of the cylinder 2, dry wiping with the web 1905 is performed without supplying the washing solution to wipe off the residual washing solution on the surface of the cylinder 2 and, after drying, the web is separated from the cylinder 2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the density of printing constant even when printing is temporarily stopped by a method in which a pressure cylinder is separated from a transfer cylinder after ending printing of up to the final region of paper, and at the same time an inking roller is separated from the transfer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A pressure cylinder 11 is first separated from a blanket cylinder 2, and at the same time an inking roller 7a is separated from a plate cylinder 3 to stop the supply of ink to the cylinder 3. Under this condition, the cylinders 2 and 3 are about half-turned, and ink 31 for printing the next page on the plate wound around the cylinder 3 is transferred to the cylinder 2. By pause-in treatment, ink 31 for printing one page is transferred to the cylinder 2 and also by pause-out treatment, printing is made by the ink 31 for first one paper after restarting of printing and the process is moved to a regular printing. Therefore, the density of printing before the pause-in treatment and that after the pause-out treatment can be kept identical.
