Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a conjugate fiber having a high specific gravity and a high strength, excellent in high color developing properties and abrasion resistance and useful for fishing nets, curtains, etc., by providing the fiber with a prescribed value or above of particle content in the conjugate fiber and further the core part with discontinuous voids such as a spherical shape. SOLUTION: This conjugate fiber is a core-sheath type conjugate fiber comprising a core part which is an aliphatic polyester having =15 wt.% and the core part has discontinuous spherical or ellipsoidal voids therein. Furthermore, the conjugate fiber preferably contains a pigment in the core component and/or the sheath component. The conjugate fiber is obtained by including >=20 wt.% of the particles in the core component, carrying out the core-sheath conjugate spinning, drawing the resultant fiber, heat-treating the drawn fiber and conducting the relaxing treatment of the heat-treated fiber.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet for civil engineering work strong to impacts strength caused from heavy goods or the like by comprising a thermoplastic synthetic fiber which has denier less than a specific value, as warp and/or weft. SOLUTION: This sheet for civil engineering work is obtained by using the thermoplastic synthetic fiber which has 6.0 cN/dtex = filament denier, such as polyester filaments or polyamide filaments as the warp and/or weft to form a plain weave or the like having texture of 1000 to 1000000 dtex/in.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester yarn useful for woven and knit fabric, etc., extremely slight in sagging/fluff/end breakage, excellent in yarn qualities, by melting and extruding a polyester containing a fixed amount of a specific silicon oxide particle, cooling, introducing a cooled yarn to a heating zone and drawing. SOLUTION: A polyester which contains 0.02-5.0wt.% of a silicon oxide particle coated with 0.1-10wt.% (based on the particle) of a straight-chain silicone oil, having 5-45nm average primary particle diameter, practically synthesized by a dry method and has >=0.50dl/g intrinsic viscosity is melted and extruded from a spinneret, cooled, introduced into a heating zone and drawn to give the objective polyester yarn.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester fiber having homogenous fiber quality without generating slack, naps and yarn breakage by treating the surface of silicon oxide particles synthesized by a dry method with a trimethylsilyl derivative, mixing the treated silicon oxide particles into a polyester and not tube spinning the mixture. CONSTITUTION: A polyester containing silicon oxide particles synthesized substantially by dry method and having an average primary-particle size of 5-50mμ in an amount of >=0.02wt.% is extruded in a melt state from a spinneret. The obtained fiber is cooled, then introduced into a heating zone and drawn. The surface of the silicon oxide used in the above process has been treated with a trimethylsilyl derivative and >=40% of silanol groups of the surfaces of silicon oxide particles are blocked to improve compatibility with the polyester and dispersibility in it.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make yarn surely passable in a short time even in the case where it is applied to the undrawing yarn by installing a yarn passage guide, whose surface finished state is specified, in the yarn filament inlet part of a filament suction means. CONSTITUTION: A range if 0.4 to 25S is required to the surface roughness of a part coming into contact with a yarn filament 10 of a yarn passage guide 2. First of all, this filament 10 discharged out of a spinning pack is predrawn by a suction gun 18 by way of a guide 19 installed upstream a filament suction means 6. Next, with a cock 8 opened, high pressure gas is induced out of a high pressure gas pipe 7, then high pressure gas is blown out as accelerating it through a slit 5, whereby negative pressure is produced in the vicinity of a filament inlet hole 1. When the filament 10 being drawn by the suction gun 18 is cut by scissors and the like hereat, the feed filament 10 is drawn from the filament inlet hole 1, it is passed through downstream. If this filament 10 is received by the suction gun at the downstream side of a heat treatment equipment 13, yarn passing is over. At this time, if the surface roughness is smaller than 0.4 S, a friction factor with the filament grows larger, but if it is larger than 25S, some hitch of the filament will partially occur there.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing thick denier polyester filaments not having dyeing irregularity, having sufficient mechanical properties and a sufficient thermal shrinkage constant and good in tension and stiffness at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:This method for spinning and drawing thick denier polyester filaments having a single filament fineness of >=3.5 denier comprises extruding a melted polyester from a spinneret 1, cooling and so solidifying the extruded filaments, imparting water to the filaments in an amount of >=3% per weight of the filaments, taking up the filaments with a non-heated first godet roller 5 at a take-up rate of 2000-4000m/min without winding up the filaments, heating and drawing the filaments with a first thermally treating device 6 having a steam atmosphere of atmospheric pressure and set between the first godet roller 5 and a non-heated second godet roller 7, thermally treating the drawn filaments with a second thermal treating device 8, and subsequently winding up the filaments.
