Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polylactic acid fiber having a high strength and high heat resistance. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid fiber is characterized in that the polylactic acid fiber obtained by a melt spinning method comprises a blend of a poly(L- lactic acid) and a poly(D-lactic acid) and has >=2.6 cN/dTex strength and the ratio ΔHh/ΔH1 of an entotherm ΔH1 based on the crystal fusion of single crystal of poly(L-lactic acid) and single crystal of poly(D-lactic acid) obtained by DSC measurement to entotherm ΔHh based on crystal fusion of stereocomplex crystal composed of poly(L-lactic acid) and poly(D-lactic acid) of >=10.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a webbing for a sheet belt having a conventionally not available marked light fastness and practically sufficient mechanical strengths simultaneously, and excellent in biodegradability by constituting its warp yarns, etc., with a fiber consisting mainly of an aliphatic polyester having a prescribed melting point. SOLUTION: This webbing for a sheet belt is obtained by constituting its warp yarns and/or weft yarns with a fiber consisting mainly of an aliphatic polyester such as a polylactic acid, etc., having >=130 deg.C melting point and >=4.5 cN/dtex fiber strength. Further, it is preferable that the fiber consists mainly of the aliphatic polyester having >=150 deg.C, further preferably >=170 deg.C melting point as above and >=5.0 cN/dtex strength, and in view of making its energy absorbing property as excellent one, in the case of using the fiber as the warp yarn for the webbing for the sheet belt, its elongation is preferably >=20%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safety net having sufficient mechanical excellent weather resistance and performances biodegradability by using aliphatic polyester-based fibers (preferably spun dyed fibers) which have a melting point of a specific temperature or higher and preferably contain lactic acid as a main component and a multi-functional phosphorus compound. SOLUTION: This safety net comprises fibers consisting mainly of an aliphatic polyester having a melting point of >=130 deg.C. The safety net is preferably obtained by doubling spun-dyed multi-filament yarns and then knitting the doubled yarns by means of a Raschel knitting machine or the like. The spun-dyed multi-filament yarns consist mainly of the aliphatic polyester having a melting point of >=130 deg.C, further contain a bifunctional phosphorus compound, such as dimethyl phenylphosphate, in an amount of 0.1-1.5%, have a breaking strength of >=4.5 CN/dtex, preferably >=5.0 CN/dtex, a breaking elongation of >=15%, preferably >=18%, and a fineness of 250-4,000 dtex, and comprise 200-500 filaments.
