    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject conjugated thick and thin yarn, having thick and thin parts in the longitudinal direction and a prescribed shrinkage percentage in boiling water and capable of assuming a natural surface feeling and a natural dry touch feeling and providing a high-class suede when formed into a woven or a knitted fabric and freed of a sea component by including a prescribed amount of titanium oxide in the sea component. SOLUTION: This two-component-based island-in-sea type polyester conjugated thick and thin yarn has thick and thin parts in the longitudinal direction, further 5-50 thick parts/10m as the yarn and 15-70% shrinkage percentage in boiling water. The island components (a) contain 0.5-10wt.% titanium oxide. The conjugated thick and thin yarn has thick parts having 5-60mm length as the yarn and the size of one of the island components (a) is preferably 0.05-0.5 denier. The sea component (b) is preferably prepared by copolymerizing isophthalic acid having 3-7mol% metal sulfonate groups and the conjugated thick and thin yarn preferably has 40-70% elongation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a drum-type package that is excellent in reelability all over the whole area ranging from a surface layer part to an inner layer part by setting the extent of hardness in the side surface of this drum-type package, to more than the specified value, and further making a hardness differential in the side surface of stratification in a surface layer from an inner layer, smaller than the specified value. SOLUTION: Hardness in the side surface of a drum-type package is set to at least more than 55. Then, a hardness differential in the side surface of stratification in both inner and outer surfaces is set to less than 8. In this connection, hardness in the side surface of the drum-type package is the side hardness made up of measuring a position of the n number from a package core after dividing full wound drum package yarn layer thickness D into ten equal parts. Likewise, the hardness differential in the side surface of the stratification in both inner and surface layers is an absolute value difference between hardness in the side surface of the drum-type package and the side hardness measured at the adjacent layer. Thus, the side hardness difference among yarn layers is lessened, whereby a tension variation and a yarn layer slippage both in time of reeling operation are reduced so that stable reelability is securable.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a twisted polyester multifilament yarn for separated single filament yarns, good in spinnability, good in processability in downstream processes, especially yarn separation, having higher colorability than those of conventional yarns as a raw material for organdy, and useful for producing monofilaments having good brilliancy and high strength and used for the organdy. SOLUTION: This multifilament yarn is formed from a modified polyester having an intrinsic viscosity(IV) of >=0.64 and copolemnerized with a metal sulfaonate group-containing isophthalic acid component in an amount of 0.7-2.4mil.% based on all dicarboxylic acid components and with a polyalkylene glycol component having a mol.wt. of 90-6000 in an amount of 0.2-10wt.% based on the polyester. Each filament has a modified cross section, and the multifilament yarn has a chromium mirror surface dynamic frictional coefficient of =30%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester multifilament yarn for twisted filament separation in order to produce monofilaments for an organdie, good in yarn manufacturing properties, high-order process passableness, especially filament separating properties and having a higher glossiness and better transparency as a material for the organdie than those of a conventional material. SOLUTION: This high-gloss multifilament yarn for twisted filament separation comprises a polyester, containing 70-270ppm Ca expressed in terms of calcium atom and 5-60ppm phosphorus expressed in terms of phosphorus atom and satisfying 1.5-50 ratio (the content of the calcium atom/content of the phosphorus atom). The multifilament yarn has a trilobed filament cross sectional form thereof, =35% elongation thereof. The twisted filament separation is achieved by the multifilament yarn therefor.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conjugate fiber freed from drawbacks involved in the conventional conjugate fiber technology, esp. capable of giving knitted fabrics of sufficiently sophisticated feeling, dyeable with disperse dye at normal pressures and rich in soft touch feeling and drapability, and also suitable for blending with natural fiber. SOLUTION: This conjugate fiber is composed of at least two components: A-component 1 and B-component 2. The A-component 1 is a polymer soluble in hot water, while the B-component 2 is a polymer insoluble in hot water which is dyeable with a disperse dye at normal pressures, being a polyester copolymerized with 6.0-10wt.% of a polyethylene glycol 500-4,000 in average molecular weight. The single fiber fineness after removing the A-component 1 from this conjugate fiber is 0.5-0.05 denier.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject package excellent in unwindability, developing no slack and slippage, thus good in form stability by making a polyester monofilament high in mechanical strength at 10% extension into a package under specified winding conditions. CONSTITUTION: A polyester monofilament 7-40 denier in fineness and >=3.0g/d in tenacity at 10% extension is wound under such conditions as to be 70-90 degree in the drum hardness at the center of package surface layer and higher in the drum hardness at the termini of the package surface layer than that at the center. It is preferable that, in spin-draw process, the monofilament be wound in such conditions as to be 2000-4000m/min winding speed, 0.2-0.5g/d winding tension, 10-13kgw contact pressure to a surface roll 8, and that the distance between a pendulum support guide 6 and the drum surface layer is 2.5-4 times the width of the innermost monofilament layer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain polyester hollow fibers resisting collapse of the cross section by specifying the cross section of polyester fibers which contain a high-shrinkage component as a copolymer component and can give increased light weight, warmness retention and impact resilience, when the hollow fibers are conjugated or combined with other low shrinkage fibers.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hollow multifilament yarn suitable for knitted and woven fabric having excellent process passage in a high-order processing process, no collapse of the section of a filament, high bulkiness and high repulsion which have previously never existed, softness and volume, lightweight, excellent heat retaining properties and high qualities. CONSTITUTION:This latent bulky polyester hollow multifilament yarn is the one composed of a polyester, having a circular external shape of the section of a filament, a triangular hollow part at the central part of the filament and 10-50% hollow ratio of the hollow part. The hollow multifilament yarn has random thermal shrinkage percentages between the filaments in the section direction of the yarn and in the longer direction of each filament, a continuous thermal shrinkage stress value (FT value) in the longer direction of the yarn and a degree of variability (FTCV) of the FT value in specific ranges. The latent bulky polyester hollow multifilament yarn is effectively useful not only as a material for clothing but also as an industrial and a building materials, provides a luster feeling and a characteristic color development which a conventional material does not have and has a high value as a new material different from a conventional material.
