Abstract: The subject invention is an intake manifold with a swirl control valve assembly mounted to an internal combustion engine. The intake manifold assembly includes a plurality of air intake passages through which air flows to the combustion chambers of the engine. The air flow control valve assembly is mounted within the intake manifold between the intake manifold and the engine. The air flow control valve assembly includes a plurality of valve plates to direct air flowing through the air intake passages. The valve plates are disposed within the air intake passages and are mounted to a common shaft for rotation about an axis. The valve plates rotate between an open position and a closed position. Each of the valve plates has an opening that allows the flow of air through the air intake valve when the valve plate is in the closed position. The opening is configured in such a manner to direct the flow of air through the air intake passage. The size and position of the opening in each of the valve plates is arranged and configured to create a predetermined flow of the air into the combustion chamber to promote efficient combustion of the air fuel.

Abstract: A fluid directing assembly includes partitions which define fluid directing runners. The partitions extend from a first portion and include an engagement member extending therefrom. The engagement members (38) extend from the partitions such that an interference fit is formed between the first portion (22B) and a second portion (22C) of the module. CONSTITUTION: An air intake hose(10) for a vehicle comprises a blow molding unit(100), injection molding units(150,160), and a binding unit. The blow molding unit is formed in a hollow hose shape by blow molding. The injection molding unit is formed in a hollow hose by injection molding. The blow molding unit and the injection molding unit are bound by injecting a material of the injection molding unit into an injection mold while the binding unit is inserted into the injection mold.
