    Abstract: PURPOSE: Installation structure of a seat belt retractor is provided to prevent the passenger fixing state of a seat belt from being released and to improve safety by refixing the retractor even if a rivet for connecting a bracket with the retractor is cut. CONSTITUTION: A bracket(1) is fixed on a vehicle body panel by a bolt(2). A lower part of a retractor(4) winding a belt(3) around an upper part of the bracket is fixed by a rivet(5). A circular shaft(6) is prepared on a lower end of the retractor and a circular shaft(7) is prepared on an upper end of the bracket. Both ends of a webbing(8) penetrating through an inner part at the lower corner of the retractor are fixed on the two circular shafts. When a sudden force is given to a passenger's body upon a collision, the rivet is broken. Herein, the webbing supports the sudden force so that the connection state between the bracket and the retractor is not released. Thus, the passenger's body is prevented from being injured by being supported by the belt. In addition, damage by the pressure of the belt is prevented by less receiving the impact corresponding to the force as much as the rivet is broken.
