Abstract: In the present invention, there are described pyrazolyl-4-benzoyl derivatives of the general formula I wherein the substituents and variables have a meaning explained in the description, and their salt usually utilized in agriculture. These compounds are prepared by reacting a corresponding pyrazole derivative with a corresponding benzoyl derivative and optionally by conversion of the obtained compound to another compound of the general formula I or agriculturally acceptable salt thereof. Described is also a herbicidal agent containing as an active substance the compound of the general formula I, and method of controlling growth of undesired plants by treating place of their growth with a herbicidally effective amount of the compound of the general formula I.

Claimed is also process for preparing the above described formulation.
