Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, based at least in part on a transmit configuration, a first communication associated with a first group of logical channels associated with at least a portion of an ON duration of an uplink transmission interval configuration. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the transmit configuration, a second communication during at least a portion of an OFF duration of the uplink transmission interval configuration, wherein the transmit configuration indicates a first amount of energy for the first communication based at least in part on the first communication being associated with the first group of logical channels and a second amount of energy for the second communication based at least in part on the second communication being associated with a second group of logical channels. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration to perform an uplink communication using a first frequency spectrum band. The UE may receive a second configuration to receive a downlink communication using a second frequency spectrum band. The UE may determine an interference caused by at least one of the first frequency spectrum band or the second frequency spectrum band. The UE may reroute, based at least in part on the determination, the uplink communication to a first uplink path or a second uplink path associated with the first frequency spectrum band. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information indicating a timer value of a timer associated with discarding a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) service data unit (SDU). The UE may determine that a timer modification condition is satisfied. The UE may modify the timer value based at least in part on the determination that the timer modification condition is satisfied. The UE may transmit a communication using the modified timer value. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a communication configuration for a bearer including a first link and a second link. The UE may identify packets for transmission, and each of the packets may be associated with a sequence number. The UE may receive a first grant of first uplink resources and a second grant of second uplink resources, and the UE may determine an association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources based on the sequence numbers of the packets and respective completion times of decoding processes associated with the first uplink resources and the second uplink resources. The UE may transmit the packets over the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources in accordance with the determined association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods for managing a reordering timer performed by a processor of a wireless device. The processor may receive packets from a communication network and store the packets in a memory buffer of the wireless device. The processor may detect one or more conditions that affect an amount of time required to reorder or reassemble at least some of the packets received from the communication network. The processor may determine a timer adjustment based on the detected one or more conditions. The processor may adjust a timer with the determined timer adjustment. The processor may deliver one or more packets from the memory buffer in response to expiration of the adjusted timer.

Abstract: Aspects relate to using less than all of an allocation for sending information. For example, a first device such as a user equipment (UE) may receive a grant from a second device such as a base station (e.g., a gNB) where the grant identifies resources and/or a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) allocated to the first device for a transmission. Due to one or more factors, the first device may elect to not use all of the allocated resources and/or may elect to use a lower MCS value. In some implementations, the first device may send an indication of this election to the second device. In some implementations, the first device may send information in a first subset of the allocated resources and apply puncturing to a second subset of the allocated resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a throttling indicator for a shared resource associated with a modem at the UE. The UE may determine a configuration of the modem based on a configuration received from a Radio Resource Control layer of the UE. Based on the modem configuration and the throttling indicator, the UE may identify a throttling level to apply to the modem. The UE may adjust the modem configuration for communicating with a base station based on the throttling level in order to reduce resource usage below a usage threshold. By reducing usage of the shared resource by the modem, the UE may have a greater availability of the shared resource to meet the needs of other components of the UE. This may provide an improved user experience at the UE, among other benefits.
