    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support overlapping physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate thresholds. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may determine, for each subcarrier spacing (SCS) configuration of a set of SCS configurations, a threshold number of overlapping PDCCH candidates within a time interval. The UE may receive, from a base station, signaling indicating one or more PDCCH monitoring configurations. In some examples, the UE may monitor the PDCCH for control information according to the one or more PDCCH monitoring configurations and a number of overlapping PDCCH candidates, where the number of overlapping PDCCH candidates may satisfy (e.g., be less than or equal to) the threshold number of overlapping PDCCH candidates.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine to decode or refrain from decoding a transport block (TB) transmitted from a base station based on a decodability condition. The decodability condition may include whether an effective UE throughput for decoding the TB is greater than a predetermined decoding throughput threshold or not. If the effective UE throughput is greater than the predetermined decoding throughput threshold, the UE may refrain from decoding the TB. In some cases, the TB may be a subsequent transmission from the base station based on an initial transmission not being correctly decoded, and the UE may refrain from decoding the subsequent transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a throttling indicator for a shared resource associated with a modem at the UE. The UE may determine a configuration of the modem based on a configuration received from a Radio Resource Control layer of the UE. Based on the modem configuration and the throttling indicator, the UE may identify a throttling level to apply to the modem. The UE may adjust the modem configuration for communicating with a base station based on the throttling level in order to reduce resource usage below a usage threshold. By reducing usage of the shared resource by the modem, the UE may have a greater availability of the shared resource to meet the needs of other components of the UE. This may provide an improved user experience at the UE, among other benefits.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, an indication of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) processing unit (PPU) limit associated with the UE. The UE may receive configurations for a plurality of search space sets, wherein the plurality of search space sets includes one or more linked pairs of search space sets with linked PDCCH candidates for PDCCH repetition.
