Abstract: A massage system includes a massage applicator and a massage device for reciprocatingly actuating the massage applicator in an axial direction with respect to the massage device. The massage applicator is removable from the massage device. The massage applicator includes a connector cavity. The massage device includes a connector protrusion, which is receivable in the connector cavity. The connector protrusion includes a protrusion engagement surface. The connector cavity includes a cavity engagement surface, which is formed by an inner wall of the connector cavity. The protrusion engagement surface and the cavity engagement surface are configured to engage to transmit an axial massage force from the massage device to the massage applicator. A massage applicator and a massage system including a massage device and a plurality of massage applicators are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a massage device (1) comprising an actuator (21) arranged in a rear part (3) of the massage device (1) and a piston (5) arranged in a front part (4) of the massage device (1). The actuator (21) is configured to effect a reciprocating movement of the piston (5) in an axial direction (9) of the piston (5) from a retracted first end position (37) to an extended second end position (38). The piston (5) is more distant from the rear part (3) of the massage device (1), when the piston (5) is in the extended second end position (38) than when the piston (5) is in the retracted first end position (37). A connecting rod (26) connecting the piston (5) and the actuator (21) is provided. The connecting rod (26) and the piston (5) are connected via a connecting means (30), wherein the connecting means (30) comprises a transverse middle axis (34) perpendicular to the axial direction of (9) the piston (5), wherein the piston (5) is configured to be guided within a first support element (7) contacting the piston (5) along a first length (8) in the axial direction (9). The massage device (1) is adapted such that when the piston (5) is in the retracted first end position (37), the transverse middle axis (34) of the connecting means (30) is more distant from the rear part (3) of the massage device (1) than from an axial middle (10) of the first length (8) of the first support element (7). The invention further relates to a method of assembling a massage device (1) and the use of a connecting means (30).
