    Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify the operation and improve the reliability by attaching a traveling centralizing device including two jaw halves in such a state as moving in the length direction of a drill rod along a feeding beam. CONSTITUTION: This traveling centralizing device 5 including two jaw halves 12a, 12b is fitted to a carriage 8 attached slidably on a guideway 10. When the traveling centralizing device 5 is moved along the feeding beam 1 on the carriage 8, wheels 9a, 9b are moved downward along the guideway 10 and the jaw halves 12a, 12b are opened larger as approaching to a front centralizing device 6. A chuck 3 is let to pass through an opening between the jaw halves 12a, 12b and a drifter 2 having a drill rod 4 attached to its front end is moved along the feeding beam 1. By this constitution, the drill rod 4 can be prevented from being bent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To smoothen the operation while reducing the weight of a hose by providing a supply hose and a return hose common to plural actuators, and functioning a cartridge type valve of the remote control as an adjustment valve between each actuator. CONSTITUTION: In order to supply the pressure fluid to plural hydraulic actuators 1, a supply hose 13 and a return hose 9 common to at least two hoses 9, 13 are provided. Both the hoses 9, 13 are divided at appropriate positions, and connected to a required actuator 1, and cartridge type valves 14, 15 of remote control are arranged so as to function as adjustment valves between each actuator 1. Furthermore, over center valves 7, 8 are connected between pressure fluid conduits 5, 6 and the return hose 9. With this structure, number and length of the hose to be required for operation of the plural actuators 1 can be reduced, and the weight of the hose can be reduced.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of regulating, for the purpose of burning soda-ash in a recovery boiler furnace, the feeding-in or combustion conditions of concentrated spent liquors of varying chemical and physical properties by measuring some physical property of a liquor fed into the recovery boiler furnace and by regulating the feeding-in and combustion conditions directly on the basis of the thus measured physical properties. According to the invention, the maximum swelling, upon heating, of a dry-matter particle of the liquor fed into the recovery boiler furnace is measured. On the basis of this measurement the temperature, pH value, or injection pressure of the liquor fed into the furnace, or the height of the injection point or the direction of injection, or the feeding of air into the furnace is adjusted directly on the basis of the maximum swelling measurement.
