    Abstract: PURPOSE: An EGR valve assembly is provided to exactly control the amount of exhaust gas, and to prevent the temperature of the exhaust gas from increasing. CONSTITUTION: An EGR valve assembly comprises a motor, a valve rod, and a valve sheet plate. The motor is rotated based on the control of an electric control unit. The motor is formed into the cylindrical shape, and comprises a rotary member, which comprises screw threads on an inner surface. The valve rod moves up and down by being supplied with the torque of the motor. The valve rod comprises a screw part, in which the screw threads are formed with facing the screw threads of the rotary member. The valve sheet plate is installed in a lower part of the valve rod, and opens/closes a second exhaust gas path. One part of the valve rod is screwed inside the motor.
