    Abstract: PURPOSE: A photoresponsive alginate particle and a method for preparing the same are provided to obtain a photoresponsive bead which is able to control release of a target material by photo-irradiation. CONSTITUTION: A photoresponsive alginate particle is formed by coating an alginate bead with basic proteinoid coumarin conjugate. The basic proteinoid coumarin conjugate is coated on the alginate bead and irradiated with light in wavelength of 310 nm or more. A method for preparing the photoresponsive alginate particle comprises: a step of chemically binding a coumarin derivative with basic proteinoid, and preparing the basic proteinoid coumarin conjugate; a step of dropping an alginate solution to a polyvalent ion solution, and preparing the alginate bead; a step of coating the surface of the alginate bead with the basic proteinoid coumarin conjugate; and a step of irradiating the alginate bead with a UV ray.
