Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for increasing biomass of ginseng adventitious roots, comprising a step of culturing the ginseng adventitious roots through light emitting diode (LED) irradiation at a red light wavelength range of 625-630 nm. The optimum proliferation conditions for culturing the ginseng adventitious roots through a bioreactor is developed by using the irradiation of the LED in a specific wavelength according to the present invention, thereby establishing the formation and growth of the favorable ginseng adventitious roots and the increase in biomass. Thus, provided can be a method for massively propagating the ginseng adventitious roots through tissue culture, capable of industrially mass-producing the ginseng adventitious roots in a bioreactor, thereby producing high value-added ginseng throughout the year without being affected by climatic and environmental conditions, and supplying the ginseng adventitious roots to various user classes at a low price.

PURPOSE: COMT gene originated from Miscanthus sinensis and its use is provided to use for the yield increase controlling the anti oxidation activation of plants as the phenolic compound contents are controllable in the vector-transformed plant. CONSTITUTION: The method to control the phenolic compound content of plant comprises a step that controls the revelation of COMT gene by transforming recombinant vector in a plant cell which contains COMT [caffeic acid O-methyltransferase] gene originated from Miscanthus sineis; and a step that redifferentiates plants from the transformed plant cells. The phenolic compound content of plant is reduced by inhibiting the revelation of COMT gene. The phenolic compound contents of plant is increased by the overexpression of COMT gene. The phenolic compound of plant is flavonoid or lignine. The inhibition of COMT gene revelation is executed by transforming the plant with the recombinant plant vector in which COMT gene originated from Miscanthus sinensis is inserted in an anti-sense direction. The COMT gene is formed with a base rank of the rank number 1. The plant with reduced content of phenolic compound is produced by inhibiting the expression of COMT gene.

PURPOSE: A method for producing hexaploid of Miscanthus X giganteus is provided to improve heterosis and to ensure high biomass productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing heterosis of Miscanthus X gigianteus comprises: a step of sterilizing immature tissue of Miscanthus X gigianteus; a step of culturing the sterilized tissue in a callus induction medium; a step sub-culturing the to select the callus; a step of treating oryzalin to the callus to suppress somatic cell division; a step of culturing and differentiating a shoot; a step of moving the shoot to the MS medium and inducing adventitious roots; and a step of moving the plant into a flowerpot.

PURPOSE: A Sorghum bicolor Moench extract having an antibacterial activity is provided to prevent side effects by human body toxicity accumulation and to use as an alternative agent of conventional synthetic antibacterial agent. CONSTITUTION: A Sorghum bicolor Moench extract is isolated using low alcohol, methanol. The Sorghum bicolor Moench extract is fractioned using hexane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol or water. A cosmetic composition for anti-bacteria contains the Sorghum bicolor Moench extract as an active ingredient. The composition has antibacterial activities to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, or Klebsiella pneumoniae. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of skin softener, nutrition skin, nutrition cream, essence, pack or shower powder.
