    Abstract: PURPOSE: A genetical method for rapidly selecting a pig having improved average daily gain(ADG), backfat thickness(BFT), and loin muscle area(LMA) is provided, thereby reducing the time for selecting a pig with improved physical conditions. CONSTITUTION: A genetical method for rapidly selecting a pig having improved average daily gain(ADG), backfat thickness(BFT), and loin muscle area(LMA) comprises the steps of: extracting genomic DNA from the blood of pigs; preparing DNA markers as primers; PCR amplifying the samples using one or more combination of 23 sets of forward primers and reverse primers; and determining genotypes of the PCR products with genetic analyzer, wherein 11 primers are associated with the average daily gain(ADG), 19 primers are associated with the backfat thickness(BFT), and 9 primers are associated with the loin muscle area(LMA).
