Abstract: 본 발명은 피부 멜라닌 합성 저해 효과가 있는 칠보벼 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 피부 미백용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 상기한 본 발명에 의하면, 멜라닌 색소형성에 관여하는 티로시나제 효소의 활성을 억제하고, 멜라닌 합성에 관여하는 티로시나제, TRP-1, TRP-2 효소의 유전자 발현을 감소시켜 미백효과가 우수하고 세포독성 등 부작용이 거의 없으며 제형도 안정적인 피부 미백용 조성물을 제공할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Abstract: A skin whitening composition containing a puerarin or its derivative is provided to suppress the activation of tyrosinase and inhibit melanogenesis. A skin whitening composition comprises 0.0001-10 weight% of puerarin of the chemical formula 1 or its derivative as an active ingredient. The puerarin is obtained by extracting and purifying from Pueraria lobata Ohwi. The puerarin derivative is denoted by the chemical formula 2. In the chemical formula 2, R is alpha -1,6- glucosyl. The composition has the skin whitening effect by suppressing the expression of TRP-1(tryptophan biosynthesis 1) and TRP-2 genes and suppressing the protein expression of MITF(microphthalmia-associated transcription factor). The composition is used in a form of skin softener, astringent, nutrition skin, eye cream, nutrition cream, massage cream, cleansing cream, cleansing foam, cleansing water, powder, essence, and pack.

Abstract: A method for screening bio-materials with anti-atherogenic activity is provided to screen the anti-atherogenic materials conveniently with low cost by quantifying a cell number of monocytes attached to vascular endothelium without directly determining the number by eyes or using isotopes. A method for screening bio-materials with anti-atherogenic activity comprises the steps of: (a) culturing vascular endothelium; (b) treating the cultured material with a candidate material with anti-atherogenic activity; (c) adding monocytes to the culture material of the step(b) and then culturing it; (d) removing the monocytes not coupled to the vascular endothelium by washing; and (e) measuring the binding of the vascular endothelium and the monocytes through 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay(MTT assay). An anti-atherogenic composition comprises an extract of Lithospermum erythrorhizon as an effective ingredient.

Abstract: 본 발명은 항-동맥경화 물질 탐색 방법에 있어서, 혈관내피세포 (vascular endothelium)를 배양하는 1단계; 상기 배양물에 항-동맥경화 후보물질을 처리하는 2단계; 상기 처리 배양물에 단핵구 (monocyte)를 추가하여 배양하는 3단계; 상기 혈관내피세포에 결합되지 않은 단핵구를 세척에 의해 제거하는 4단계; 및 상기 혈관내피세포와 단핵구의 결합을 MTT 분석법을 이용하여 측정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 항-동맥경화 물질 탐색 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따르면, 본 발명의 항-동맥경화 물질 탐색 방법은 육안으로 직접 개수판별하거나 동위원소를 사용하지 않고 혈관내피세포에 부착된 단핵구의 세포수를 정량화 하는 방법을 이용하여 저렴하고 간편하게 항-동맥경화 물질을 스크리닝 할 수 있다.
