Abstract: 본 발명은 서열 번호 1의 염기서열을 갖는 siRNA 및 이를 유효 성분으로 포함하는 오소폭스바이러스에 대한 항바이러스 조성물에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 siRNA는 백시니아 바이러스 유전자 mRNA에 결합 한 후, mRNA의 분해를 유도하여 유전자의 발현을 저해함으로써 백시니아 바이러스의 증식을 억제시킬 수 있다. 또한 상기 siRNA는 백시니아 바이러스와 같은 계통의 바이러스인 바리올라 바이러스 감염에 의해 발병하는 천연두의 치료 및 예방에 사용 될 수 있다.

Abstract: The present invention relates to small interfering RNA (siRNA) having base sequence of sequence number 1 and an antiviral composition against orthopoxvirus including the same as an active component. siRNA of the present invention can restrain vaccinia virus reproduction by hindering gene expression while degradation of mRNA is induced, after being bound to mRNA of vaccinia virus gene. Also, the siRNA can be used for treating and preventing smallpox caused by variola virus infection which is in the same strain with vaccinia virus.

Abstract translation: 本发明涉及具有序列号1的碱基序列的小干扰RNA（siRNA）和针对包含与活性成分相同的正痘病毒的抗病毒组合物。 本发明的siRNA可以通过抑制基因表达，同时在与痘苗病毒基因的mRNA结合后诱导mRNA的降解来抑制痘苗病毒繁殖。 此外，siRNA可用于治疗和预防由与痘苗病毒相同的菌株引起的天花病毒感染引起的天花。
