CONSTITUTION: A hemming device for a wheel house of a vehicle comprises a mounting frame(10), a hemming bed unit(20), bed fixing units, and a hemming roller unit(40). The mounting frame is composed of a support beam(17) and a mounting beam(19). The hemming bed unit fixes a hemming bed(21) to the top end of the support beam and supports a wheel house unit by attaching the hemming bed on the outer panel of the wheel house unit. The bed fixing units are formed in both sides of the mounting beam and fix the hemming bed to the outer panel of the wheel house unit. The hemming fixing unit hems the outer panel of the wheel house unit by manually rotating two hemming rollers.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic wheel arch hemming apparatus for a car is provided to successively implement hemming processes with a mechanical driving force by pressing a hemming roller in a lateral direction. CONSTITUTION: An automatic wheel arch hemming apparatus for a car comprises a hemming bed(30), a turning tool, a turning motor(24), a driving handle(19), a lifting cylinder, a hemming press cylinder(20), and a support plate(43). A guide groove(34) is formed along a flange of a wheel arch panel on the upper side of the hemming bed. The hemming bed guides the rotational movement of hemming rollers which are installed in a rotary block of the turning tool and rotated around rotary shafts to hem the flange of the wheel arch panel. The turning motor is connected to the turning tool and rotates the hemming rollers. A driving tool(36) coupled to an end of a hemming robot arm is coupled to an insertion groove of the driving handle. The driving handle rotates the hemming rollers along the flange of the wheel arch panel with the hemming robot. The lifting cylinder drives the hemming rollers in the vertical direction while the hemming press cylinder drives the hemming rollers in the lateral direction. The support plate supports the rotation of the hemming rollers along the central shaft(37) of the hemming bed.
