Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for computing the position of a vehicle and a method thereof. The present invention provides an apparatus for computing the position of a vehicle and a method thereof, capable of computing the position of a vehicle considering a front wheel tire angle generated by a steering angle when the vehicle moves, through a suspension parameters measuring device (SPMD) characteristic curve indicating a relationship between the steering angle and the front wheel tire angle in an automatic parking system, thereby accurately tracking a parking track at the automatic parking. The apparatus for computing the location of a vehicle includes a steering angle-tire angle table in which the tire angle corresponding to the steering angle is recorded; a steering angle detecting unit for detecting the steering angle varied by a steering wheel; a slip angle computing unit for retrieving the tire angle corresponding to the steering angle detected by the steering angle detecting unit to compute a slip angle, based on the steering angle-tire angle table; a fine yaw angle computing unit for computing a fine yaw angle based on the slip angle computed by the slip angle computing unit; and a position computing unit for computing a current position of the vehicle applied by fine movement caused by the slip, based on the fine yaw angle computed by the fine yaw angle computing unit.

Abstract: A rear suspension of a vehicle is provided to improve driving comfort of the vehicle and to minimize vibration by increasing length of a rear lower arm and by damping force. A rear suspension of a vehicle comprises a front lower arm(410), a rear lower arm(420), and a hydraulic pressure supplying unit. The length of the rear lower arm is varied by hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic pressure supplying unit integrally operates with a strut assembly. The rear lower arm has a fixing unit, a moving unit, and an elastic member. The fixing unit has a slide groove and being installed to a vehicle body. The moving unit moves by hydraulic pressure supplied along the slide groove of the fixing unit from the hydraulic pressure supplying unit. The elastic member is a spring to return the moving unit to original place using elastic force itself.
