Abstract: A method of backing a quartz product and the quartz product are provided to easily bake plural quartz products in batch by baking the quartz products of which at least a portion of the quartz products comes in contact with a heat treatment atmosphere. An atmosphere of the vessel is heated, and baking gases including a hydrogen chloride gas and a gas for enhancing reactivity of the hydrogen chloride gas are supplied into the vessel.
