Abstract: A printing device for an image forming device and a method thereof are provided to change a size of an image into the size not degrading a printing quality and print the changed image to a printing sheet in case that the smaller image than the size of image data corresponding to the size of the printing sheet is printed. A storing part(250) stores data size information corresponding to each different layout arranged in one printing sheet. A controller(220) compares the data size corresponding to the layout size with the data size of the image to be printed according to size order of the requested image data. In the case that the data size of the requested image is included in the data size corresponding to the size of the layout, the controller sequentially prints the image to the printing sheet.

본 발명에 의하면, 외부장치로부터 입력된 화상 데이터를 복수의 인쇄 장치에서 인쇄하고자 하는 경우, 복수의 인쇄 장치 중 하나의 인쇄 장치만이 USB 호스트의 역할을 함으로써, 복수의 인쇄 장치간 인터페이스(interface)를 위한 별도의 프로토콜(protocol)이 없이도 한번의 인쇄 명령으로 복수의 인쇄 장치에서 동시 인쇄가 가능하다.
