A method and an apparatus for controlling a time-shift storage space and a television for performing the method are provided to change the time-shift storage space according to a size of a broadcasting program to be time-shifted. A storage unit has a time-shift storage space and a data storage space. A determining unit determines whether it is necessary to change a size of the time-shifting storage space(602). If it is necessary to change the size of the time-shifting storage space, a controller changes the size of the time-shifting storage space by using the data storage space(603).

A method and a device for managing content file information, and a recording medium storing a program thereof are provided to quickly manage the content file information based on a file path, and reduce a string comparison quantity for the content file information by reducing a length and duplicated use of the file path. A storing part(202) stores content files. An information input part(201) inputs information needed for managing the content file information of the content file. A folder table(204) stores a folder path of the content file and ID information of the folder path. A file table(205) stores a filename of the content file and the ID information of the folder path. A library module(203) manages the content file information for the content file stored to the storing part while generating/updating the folder table and the file table by using the information inputted from the input part, and the information included in the folder and file table. The library module manages the content file information included in the folder table and the file table by using the ID information of the folder path as an external key.

본 발명에 따른 방송신호수신장치는 영상 표시를 위한 데이터의 스트림을 포함하는 방송신호를 수신하는 신호수신부와; 수신된 방송신호의 스트림을 저장하는 버퍼부와; 버퍼부와, 스트림의 재생을 위한 저장 공간을 가지는 비휘발성의 저장장치를 인터페이스하는 인터페이스부와; 버퍼부로부터 스트림의 저장정보를 수신하고, 수신한 저장정보에 기초하여 버퍼부로부터 스트림을 수신하여 저장장치에 저장하도록 인터페이스부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다. 이에 따라, 방송신호의 스트림을 저장함에 있어, 수신된 방송신호의 스트림을 버퍼부에 저장하고, 버퍼부로부터 수신한 저장정보에 기초하여 저장된 스트림을 수신하여 저장장치에 저장하도록 인터페이스부를 제어하는 방송신호수신장치를 제공할 수 있다.

A system and a method for managing digital contents are provided to manage the digital contents by quickly analyzing the digital contents with a digital content analyzer when performance of a device storing the digital contents is not enough. A source device extracts feature information of the digital contents. An analyzer is connected to the source device through the network and transmits an analysis result to the source device by analyzing the feature information received from the source device. The source device includes a storing part storing the digital contents, an extractor extracting the feature information from the stored digital contents, a transmitter transmitting the extracted feature information to the analyzer, and a manager managing the stored digital contents by receiving the analysis result. The analyzer includes a receiver(121) receiving the feature information, an analyzer(122) analyzing the received feature information, a converter(123) converting the analysis result into markup language, and the transmitter(124) transmitting the converted analysis result to the source device.

PURPOSE: An image processing device and an image processing method using the same are provided to generate a file in which broadcasting data is stored in order of time when a time shift function is provided. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(110) receives broadcasting data. If a time shift function is opened, a storage unit(120) sequentially stores the received broadcasting data. If a preset time amount of data is stored in the storage unit, a control unit(130) deletes earlier stored data while storing succeeding data using a residual space connected with a storage space of the broadcasting data. An image processing system capable of displaying a banner is provided to maximize an advertisement effect by enhancing understanding or recognizing capability of a consumer in a short time. An image processing system includes a contents server(10), a storage device(40), an image processor(20) and a display device(50). The contents server stores advertisement image and a banner image of a product displayed on the display device. The storage device stores the advertisement image and the banner image downloaded from the contents server by the image processor. The image processor accesses the contents server over a network, downloads the advertisement image or the banner image and selects a position of the banner image as well as a wanted advertisement image or banner image. The display device can be a monitor, a digital TV, an analog TV, a PMP or a notebook which can display images.

PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and user interface providing method thereof are provided to directly recognize a recording and a playback state by using a recording function. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(120) processes broadcast data. A storage unit(130) stores the processed broadcast data when a recording function is executed. An output unit(140) provides UI(User Interface). A control unit(150) provides the UI through the output unit when the recording function is executed. The UI includes information for a recording space and a recordable area of the storage unit.

본 발명은 타임 쉬프트되는 방송 프로그램의 용량에 따라 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간을 변경할 수 있는 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간 제어 방법 및 장치와 그와 같은 기능을 수행할 수 있는 텔레비전에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 한 유형에 따른 방법은, 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간 제어 방법에 있어서, 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간의 용량 변경이 필요한지 판단하는 단계; 및 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간의 용량 변경이 필요하면, 데이터 저장 공간을 이용하여 타임 쉬프트 저장 공간의 용량을 변경하는 단계를 포함하여, 타임 쉬프트되는 프로그램의 용량에 관계없이 사용자는 프로그램 전체를 재 시청할 수 있다.
