Abstract: A method of controlling a television receiver is provided to allow a user to easily recognize the channel set state of each channel and easily control the channel set state when a channel-related function is controlled. A method of controlling a television receiver having a user input unit for operating a channel control item includes a step of displaying a channel map indicating a predetermined number of channels including a broadcasting channel currently broadcasted and channel set information corresponding to one of the channels when the channel control item is selected through the user input unit.
