Abstract: PURPOSE: A vending machine typed television and a control method thereof are provided to use the composition of a general television as a vending machine typed television by adding a payment unit input port and a charge calculating unit in the television. CONSTITUTION: A vending machine typed television comprises a charge calculating unit(210), a time converter(220), a time control unit(230), a control signal generating unit(240), and a screen control unit(250). The charge calculating unit calculates an effective amount of a payment unit by authenticating the payment unit inputted via the payment unit input port. The time converter outputs an effective time value based on the effective amount. The time control unit reduces the effective time output from the time converter simultaneous with time elapse. The control signal generating unit outputs A/V(Audio/Video) blocking signals and OSD(On Screen Display) signals or outputs a blocking signal releasing signal by checking the effective time value output from the time control unit. The screen control unit controls video and audio signals output via a TV. Therefore, a general TV is used as a vending machine type TV without a separate power supply control box.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An oscillation circuit and a semiconductor device including the same are provided to stably stop an oscillation operation by inactivating a control signal in an inactive state of an oscillation enable signal. CONSTITUTION: An oscillation circuit includes a controller(1) and an oscillator(2). The controller includes a control signal generator and a reset signal generator. The oscillation unit generates a periodical signal with a constant pulse width by performing an oscillation operation for an active section of the control signal. The oscillation unit stops the oscillation operation by latching the periodical signal in the inactive state of the control signal. The oscillation unit outputs a first detection signal and a second detection signal for providing the inactive point of the control signal. The controller generates a control signal to control the oscillation operation of the oscillation unit in response to the first and second detection signals and the oscillation enable signal.
