디스플레이 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 디스플레이 장치는, 서로 다른 복수의 컨텐츠를 각각 수신하는 복수의 수신부, 복수의 수신부에서 수신된 컨텐츠들을 각각 처리하여 영상 프레임을 구성하는 신호 처리부, 신호 처리부에서 구성된 각 컨텐츠의 영상 프레임을 조합하여 디스플레이하는 출력부, OSD 표시 명령을 입력받기 위한 입력부 및 OSD 표시 명령이 입력되면, 복수의 컨텐츠 중에서 OSD 표시 명령에 대응되는 하나의 컨텐츠에 OSD 정보를 표시하도록 신호 처리부 및 출력부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다. 이에 따라, 복수의 사용자들의 컨텐츠 시청에 대한 방해를 주지 않을 수 있다.

PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus, a device for expandibility, a display system including thereof, and a control method is provided to mount the upgrade device on the image processing apparatus, thereby performing an improved image processing process. CONSTITUTION: If an upgrade device (200) is connected, an upgrade device connection unit (160) transmits at least one of an input signal or a first output signal of an image processing unit (130) from a TV (100) to the upgrade device. The upgrade device connection unit receives a second output signal which is outputted from the upgrade device to the TV. If the upgrade device is not connected to the upgrade device connection unit, a display unit (170) displays an image based on the first output signal. PURPOSE: A backlight apparatus of a display apparatus is provided to minimize the increase of a substrate width by constituting the substrate with several layers. CONSTITUTION: A backlight apparatus of a display apparatus comprises a display panel in which an image is displayed and a backlight unit which offers light to the display panel. The backlight unit comprises a light emitting part which includes a plurality of light emitting modules, a driving part(220) which drives the light emitting modules, substrates which are placed into a plurality of layers, and a bottom chassis which receives the light emitting part and the substrate at the lower part of the display panel.

PURPOSE: A display device is provided to offer a 3D image using shutter glasses. CONSTITUTION: A display module(11) is mounted to a cover member(31). The display module displays a video signal. A transmitting unit(41) is mounted to the inner side of the cover member. The transmitting unit transmits a synchronizing signal to the shutter glasses. An image displayed on the display module and the shutter glasses are synchronized with each other with the synchronizing signal.

The display unit displays an image by having a display connector. The main body includes a main body connector which is directly connected or indirectly connected to a display connector for supplying a power and an image signal to the display unit.
Abstract:
A display device and a method for controlling brightness of the same are provided to improve a contrast ratio of a screen by removing an artifact. A display device includes a panel unit(500), a light emitting unit(400), a light emitting controller(200), and a panel controller(300). The panel unit displays an image signal. The light emitting unit provides light to the panel unit, so that the image signal is visualized. The light emitting controller controls the light emitting unit, so that the light is supplied to small sections of the panel unit. The panel controller compensates for pixel values in the image signal in respective sections, so that artifacts are removed from the small sections of the panel unit.
Abstract:
A display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to calculate transform matrix coefficients based on temperature detected from a temperature detecting part to adjust and correct color coordinates of multi-color light emitting devices. A display apparatus comprises multi-color light emitting devices(122,124,126), a light detecting part(160), a diffusion part(140), a light emitting device part(120), a temperature detecting part(162), and a controlling part(170). The controlling part changes/outputs driving values of driving multi-color light emitting devices, receives measurement values from a light measuring device of measuring the white light, calculates tristimulus values from the measurement values, and calculates transform matrix coefficients based on the temperatures detected from the temperature detecting part. Thereby, color coordinates of the multi-color light emitting devices are adjusted and corrected.
