Abstract: PURPOSE: A membrane electrode assembly is provided to improve the power density of solid oxide fuel cell in the region of middle temperature, because of reduced thickness of a lid oxide electrolyte membrane. CONSTITUTION: A membrane electrode assembly(6) comprises: an anode(5) comprising a porous support(1), and a hydrogen permeable metal thin film arranged on the porous support; a cathode(4); and a proton conducting solid oxide electrolyte membrane(3) arranged between the anode and the cathode. A manufacturing method of the membrane electrode assembly comprises: a step of forming anode by evaporating the hydrogen permeable metal thin film on the porous support; a step of evaporating a solid oxide electrolyte membrane on the hydrogen permeable metal thin film; and a step of evaporating the cathode on the solid oxide electrolyte membrane.
