Abstract: The present invention relates to an embolic polymer-metal composite fiber and a preparation method thereof which uses first and second polymer hydrogel films with different expansion rates in the blood formed in a double layer structure by containing crosslinking agents in different contents. A linear form polymer fiber bends inside the blood and is formed into a coil for blocking blood vessels. By varying the concentration of the crosslinking agents and the thickness of the polymer fiber, the coil in a desired shape and size is designed beforehand.
